Sandalwood, Huang Huali, rosewood and Daphne, how are they classified?

Huang Huali, the so-called rosewood, is a literary name given by China literati, and rosewood takes oriental purple. Generally speaking, ancient traditional furniture is divided into two categories, hardwood and cork. The hardness here is relative, and some cork is also very hard. Hardwood mainly includes: rosewood, Huang Huali, mahogany, chicken wing wood, ironwood, ebony and so on. Cork includes nanmu, beech, elm, cypress and walnut. All hardwoods are scientific names, not scientific names. There is no corresponding tree for such a name. For example, there is no tree called rosewood in nature. No tree is called Huang Huali. No tree is called mangrove. Cork is scientifically named. For example, walnut furniture has corresponding walnut trees. Elm furniture has elms. Because all hardwood materials are not produced in China, but imported from abroad. So it's precious now. Because of the limited materials, all the imported ones are gone. Because China people can't see the trees for the trees, they don't know the original name, so they took a literary name. Sandalwood is a precious fragrant wood unique to China, which can be used as medicine. It has nothing to do with rosewood, but the names are coincidentally similar. Huang Huali, Hainan is a kind of mangrove in Hainan. Named after the similarity of tree grain with imported rosewood, its essence is still different from that of traditional Huang Huali.
