Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty stipulated that killing pigs was called "killing red".
In fact, pigs had many names in ancient times. The word "tapir" in "horse, cow, sheep, chicken and dog" in San Zi Jing is pronounced as shǐ, which means pig.
