The solstice just after summer is the dog days. As the saying goes, "the summer solstice must count three nights." Among them, "Geng" refers to the seventh word in the heavenly stems. The third Geng Day after long summer is the first day of the first autumn on the solstice.

When this day comes, there is no rule, so we can only check the date of the branches on the yellow calendar. But now it is more convenient that the order of dates can be easily found on the Internet.
