In the weather forecast, low pressure usually indicates that there may be precipitation, but it does not necessarily mean that there will be precipitation.

Changes in atmospheric pressure will affect changes in the weather. Low air pressure usually means that the air rises, forming clouds and possibly producing precipitation. However, precipitation is also affected by other factors, such as humidity, wind speed and temperature. Therefore, even if there is low pressure, it is uncertain whether there will be precipitation.

Similarly, high pressure is not necessarily unrelated to precipitation. High pressure will cause the air to sink and make the sky clear, which is not conducive to the formation of clouds and precipitation. However, in some cases, high pressure may not prevent precipitation, for example, in a hot thunderstorm in summer afternoon, high pressure may not prevent convective cloud formation and precipitation.

Therefore, low pressure and high pressure are only one of the factors that affect weather changes, and they cannot be used to predict whether precipitation will occur.
