The Origin of the Name of Huang Shang Town in Upper Huang Zhen

Upper Huang Zhen is located in the north of Hanshan Mountain and the southeast of Hutao Lake. Its terrain is high in the east and low in the west. It has hills, plains and polder areas. "Huang Shang" takes Huang Dui's surname as the village name. Huang Dui, a native of Li Yongji, Pucheng, Fujian, is a descendant of Ding Gong. For example, Liyang has a "river in the city" and Pucheng is called "Nanpuxi". Huang Shang in Pucheng County, namely Upper Huang Zhen, has beautiful scenery and dangerous terrain. " In addition, Upper Huang Zhen is located at the junction of Liyang, Yixing and Jintan, with a remote location and quiet environment. At the same time, it is the transportation hub from Liyang to Changzhou. If you enter, you can live and work in peace and contentment, reproduce your descendants, and if you leave, you can make progress and make a name for yourself. It can be regarded as a treasure house for outstanding civilians to rest. Huangdui offspring developed. Sun Simiao Gong, Gong Yi and Sun Yat-sen's third generation, Sisangong, are all descendants of the Eight Products. Sun Duanyou, the fourth generation of Sun Duanyou, was honored as Di Gong Lang because of its prominent village name. In the first year of Sun Shaoding (1228) and the second year of Xieyuan, Huang Shaoding (1229), Huang Chunyou (1249) and Baoyu (1255) were the scholars of two families. According to the Records of Yixing County, the family in Song Dynasty was a famous family in the south of the Yangtze River, and it was the earliest Huang family in Liyang.

Since the Yellow River, people have thrived on this beautiful land. In the vast thousand-year history, they have experienced many ups and downs. From the end of Yuan Dynasty to Mindfulness, Zhu Yuanzhang occupied Nanjing. More than 700 families are almost all in the Huang family, only Huang teaches in a foreign land, and his son Huang survived. Today, becoming an important town in Liyang has a lot to do with the restoration and reproduction of the Huang family.
