When is January 1st?
Introduction to Yuanri:
1, January Day refers to the Spring Festival in China, that is, the first day of the first lunar month. This statement of "Yuanri" comes from the book Shundian: "The moon is Yuanri, and the song is in harmony with the ancestors." Similar to January Festival is New Year's Day. Yuan means initial and Dan means "day", so "New Year's Day" actually means "initial day".
2. In ancient times, because people adopted the calendar that we call "Lunar Calendar" today, New Year's Day refers to the first day of the first lunar month, also known as "Yuanri", "Jacky", "Yuan Chun", "Xinzheng" and "the beginning of a year". When the Gregorian calendar was first used in the Republic of China, some people began to call 1 day of the Gregorian calendar "New Year's Day".
