What's the significance of Tanabata?
China Valentine's Day, also known as Begging for Clevership Festival and Daughter's Day, is a traditional festival in China. It comes from the legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl and is celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
In ancient times, women made sacrifices to their seven sisters every birthday, praying for ingenuity and a happy marriage. This is also the origin of the name "Qiao Qi". Women will also put a needle into the moon with five colors and fine lines for a long time.
Over time, Tanabata has also become a "Daughter's Day". China Valentine's Day takes the folklore of Cowherd and Weaver Girl as the carrier, expressing the feelings of married men and women who never leave, grow old together and abide by their love commitments.
