How to diagnose the ancient Forbidden City?

The construction department is responsible for the renovation of the Forbidden City, and also conducts regular "physical examinations" of the buildings in the Forbidden City.

The regular "physical examination" of particularly important palaces is more stringent. For example, the three halls of the Forbidden City (Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Zhonghe and Hall of Baohe) even pull weeds after autumn every year, and the company can only send craftsmen to deal with it when Qin chooses an auspicious day.

On July 25th, the fifty-eighth year of Qianlong, the list of new leaks in the sill frame of the Governor's Office of Cining Palace roughly recorded the "physical examination report" of Cining Palace. After verification, it was found that there were many new leaks in Cining Palace, such as the ridge leakage in the back hall of Cining Palace, the back slope leakage between the west tips, the bursting of the sill frame of Xichuan Hall and Cining Palace.
