Geng is the master of the White Tiger, and Geng Ri and Geng Shi are the masters of the White Tiger Heaven. White tiger is in charge of roads, information, military affairs, fighting, immigration, authoritarianism, money, dogs and horses. On this day, if you spin weaving, it means weaving a tight encirclement for yourself, and it is also suspected of blocking the use of things in heaven. It is said that people can't fight against heaven, let alone heaven, so the ancients have this stress.

What does "three Geng" mean?

In ancient China, time was recorded by combining heavenly stems and earthly branches. The number of heavenly stems is 10, which is A, B, C, D, E, Ji, G, Xin, Ren and Gui, and the number of earthly branches is 12, which is Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You and Yi. Heavenly stems and earthly branches, Jia Zi, Yi Chou, Bing Yin, Ding Mao, etc. And cross-match 60 times, so it is called 60 jiazi.

Because the number of heavenly stems is 10, there is a Geng Day every 10 day, such as Geng Zi Day, Geng Yin Day and Chen Geng Day. In our country, people make meteorological laws. From summer to Sunday, there are three characters of "Geng", and the third Geng day is the first time. This is what the so-called "three Geng" means. In "Study Tour Qionglin", it is also said: "The first time is the summer of the third watch."

And because a year is 365 days (leap year is 366 days), not an integer multiple of 10, one day of this year's Geng Day may not necessarily be next year's Geng Day. Due to the uncertainty of Geng Day, the date of entry is different every year.
