These eight hungry Han people turned out to be Taoist priests from the East. After the disaster, they came to the village to thank them, praised the Zhou couple for their kindness to men and women, and named the village "Men and Women". He built bridges and roads in the village, dug wells and canals, and provided free clinics to help the poor. The story of Mr. and Mrs. Zhou and eight Taoist priests was passed down as the story of ten sages. In the early years of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Dongpo heard about it when he traveled to Louguantai, and praised the village as the hometown of ten sages. In the late Qing Dynasty, the village of "men, wives and sages" was also called Jixian Village.

Jixian Town is a transportation hub in eastern zhouzhi county. There are 23 administrative villages and 36 natural villages in the town, with a total population of 42,000, including 27,000 agricultural people. Cultivated land area is 6.5438+0.93 million mu.
