Buddhism of Western Temples and the Construction of Western Temples

In the Republic of China 10 (192 1), after the 16th day of the first month, Jiang Yucai bathed and changed clothes early in the morning, and his family carried incense sticks and climbed mountains three times. From the Buddhist chanting hall, I kowtowed three times, three times and nine times, and I couldn't afford to kneel in front of the Buddha for a long time. Master Daxiu saw that Jiang Yucai was sincere and firm, and vowed not to stop until he entered Buddhism, so he told him to meet him at the Buddhist temple. Jiang Yucai plopped down on his knees and shouted three times, tears streaming down his face. He also said that if Buddhism refused to accept it, he knelt in front of the Buddha and made a wish to go to the western paradise. Daxiu reluctantly agreed, but made a condition that he would not cut his hair and stay at Langya Temple. Instead, I fasted at home to recite Buddha and practice on behalf of others. Jiang Yucai replied that as long as Master Daxiu is willing to accept disciples and convert to Buddhism, he will agree to any conditions. Jiang Yucai remembered the teachings of Daxiu one by one. So I chose the auspicious day of the ecliptic to hold the ceremony of accepting disciples. Daxiu accepted Jiang Yucai as his third disciple and gave him the dharma number: Guoyu. After the conversion of Buddhist national jade, the whole body and mind were devoted to Buddhism. A bigger plan began to brew in his mind. He wants to follow the example of Master Daxiu and use the financial resources of his family to build a temple-West Temple.

With the great support and assistance of overhaul, the West Temple was built in the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1). On the basis of the original 3-mu homestead in Nianfo Hall, the 16-mu five-part field was expanded. In more than three years, a magnificent family temple covering an area of more than 20 mu was built on the flat land beside the Liu Qing River. Daxiu invited Nanjing dignitaries to visit Chu. Please write the name of the temple by Mrs. Dai Zhao: Xichan Temple. Built for the western paradise, it is dedicated to the founder of the western paradise, Amitabha Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Megatrend Bodhisattva, also known as one Buddha and two Bodhisattvas. The West Temple integrates many buildings, such as the Mountain Gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Building, the Buddhist chanting hall, the West Blissful Hall, the monk's room and the wing room. Surrounded by trees and flowers, the rockery bonsai is elegantly decorated. Pilgrims gather and incense is strong. Although the West Temple is a family temple, it belongs to the lower hall of Langya Temple. East and west echo each other from afar, and the two temples set each other off.
