What are the Tibetan customs?

Tibetan customs are listed as follows:

1. In terms of housing, Tibetans have two types of housing. Herdsmen live in tents and farmers live in bungalows. Bungalows are mainly civil structures. First build it with mud, and then partition it into several rooms with boards.

2. In terms of diet, Tibetans mainly eat ghee, Ciba and highland barley wine. Tibetans also like to eat meat and dairy products, and many people like to eat dried beef and sheep.

3. In terms of costumes, Tibetan costumes are mostly long-sleeved robes with a large waist. Tibetan men and women like to wear ornaments, including headdresses, hair ornaments, sideburns, earrings, necklaces, chest ornaments, waist ornaments, rings and so on.

In terms of etiquette, Tibetan people will present Hada when guests arrive. Hada is the highest etiquette of Tibetan hospitality, expressing warm welcome and sincere respect to guests. When Tibetans greet guests, they will dip their hands in wine and play three times, then grab some highland barley in the grain barrel and throw it into the air three times.

5, wedding and funeral customs, there are five ways of burial for Tibetans after death, the most grand is tower burial. But cremation can only be enjoyed after the death of the living Buddha and some lords. When a child dies, or someone dies of other diseases, they throw the body into the river to feed the fish. This is called water burial. Those who have done bad things before their death are buried in the soil. Tibetans believe that buried people will never be reincarnated.

Celestial burial is based on a fantasy of ascension. Celestial burial ceremonies are usually held in the early hours of the morning: before dawn, the families of the deceased will send their bodies to the celestial burial platform in the northern suburb of Lhasa, and the celestial burial ceremony will begin as the sun rises slowly. People are generally not welcome to watch it privately because it is not very beautiful.
