Who do you think is better, Buddhism or Taoism? Why?

The doctrine of Taoism is a little more powerful, and Taoism takes "Tao" as its highest belief. Tao is invisible, but it breeds everything in the world. The expression of "Tao" in people and everything is "virtue". Therefore, everything respects Tao and morality. The Tao disperses into qi and gathers into God. Immortals are both the embodiment of Tao and the model of Tao. The purpose of immortals is to save the world. Old believers believe in morality and worship immortals.

Respect morality and virtue

In Taoism, people respect and talk about Taoism and morality the most. Taoist scriptures also pay special attention to the exposition of Taoism and morality. The first part of Yunqiqian is the Ministry of Morality, the first meaning of Taoism is moral, and Xuanzang's theory takes "morality" as the outline of Taoism. In fact, Taoism attaches great importance to morality, which was laid as early as when the Emperor Tai Shang appeared. Laozi, a Taiwanese businessman, relies on two chapters to teach. The theory of respecting Tao and morality also comes from the moral education theory in Tao Te Ching, which says that "everything respects Tao and morality".

Taoism respects Taoism because "Tao" is the main body of Taoist belief, and all Taoist beliefs and practices are centered on "Tao". To sum up, there are four main aspects: first, "Tao" is the driving force of the biochemical universe and the foundation of nature. Secondly, "Tao" is the foundation of the gods, from gasification ternary to Sanqing, and it forms a grand old gentleman. Third, "Tao" has the greatest virtue. It takes nothingness as its body, quietness as its teaching, weakness as its use and inaction as its indisputable purpose. Fourth, "Tao" is really eternal, lifeless and immortal, ever-present, ubiquitous and eternal between heaven and earth. The greatness and sacredness of Tao can be said to be everywhere. Because it has been described in the previous summary of teaching theory, I won't elaborate on it. In short, because of the greatness and sacredness of Taoism, Taoism regards Taoism as the highest belief and teaches people to learn, practice and spread Taoism.

The highest embodiment of respect and greatness for Tao is "virtue". Everything is born of virtue, and this deity is respectable because of the noblest virtue. Therefore, Taoism respects Taoism and morality. The interpretation of Tao and morality, the doctrine of Tao? Moral meaning says: "virtue is one, but there are two meanings, one without two, two without one." That is to say, Tao and virtue are originally a whole, because Tao is embodied by virtue, and reason and meaning are different and inseparable, but they cannot be collectively called Tao. Because virtue is not the root of nature, not the root of God. However, when people believe in Taoism, they must prove that Taoism has become Taoism on the basis of "virtue".

From the above explanation, we can know that those who have Tao must have noble virtues, and only with noble virtues can we get Tao. Therefore, cultivation should be based on morality. For the majority of people who believe in Buddhism, the premise of practicing Buddhism is virtue, which must be accumulated in daily life. The key is to improve self-cultivation and have good moral character. Strive to follow the laws of Tao in internal practice and external behavior. Quiet without desire, weak without contention, tolerant. No fame, no disadvantage, no self-respect, no self-esteem, no jealousy, no nonsense, no indulgence in debauchery. Enjoy people's happiness, worry about people's suffering, worry about people's urgency, and save the poor. Dont Ask For Help: Well, don't kill to amuse yourself, help the world and people, be kind to things, and believe in honesty. Concentric with the avenue. If you practice like this, you will be tired, grounded, and you will be able to cultivate immortality.

Xiandao Guisheng

The theory that the immortal is noble and pure is the core purpose of Taoist belief, which embodies the distinctive characteristics of Taoism. The so-called "way to become immortal" means that Taoism pursues immortality and enlightenment. Taoism believes that immortals can learn and exist, live happily, and are immortals. They are all people who really learn the aisle, and they are the personality images of people who learn the Tao and the Channel. The important content of becoming an immortal is to achieve long-term vision through self-cultivation and cultivation. Therefore, Taoism teaches people to cherish life, to be reborn, to enjoy life, to improve the quality of life to the level of immortals, and to achieve the goal of integrating life with Taoism, that is, to gain the Tao. Du Fu once summarized this message as: "Immortal Taoism is life-long, while human beings are infinite".

Taoism's theory of "immortality, life is precious" mainly comes from two aspects. One is the belief in Fang Xian in Qin and Han Dynasties. The South China Classic says: The mountain shot by the ancient temple is inhabited by immortals. The man of god can't eat grains, he can only suck wind and drink dew. You can travel around the world by Yunlong. It is also said that there is a kind of person, chitose, who is tired of going to heaven. Hanshu? It is easy to generalize immortals as "the truth that protects life, the domain of life and death". Secondly, it is too important to cultivate truth in Tao Te Ching. When Zhang Daoling, the ancestor of Shi Tian, founded religion, he integrated immortal belief with Taoist teachings, thus perfecting the Taoist belief system. He is always saying, "Life is different from Tao." He also said, "Yi Dao is cheap and expensive." The purpose of monasticism is "immortality" and "immortality". This constitutes an important theory of "immortality and valuing life".

Taoism believes that through cultivation, people's material life can be continued, their spiritual life can be sublimated, and eventually they can become immortals. Therefore, in the pursuit of immortal belief, Gao Zhen in past dynasties actively explored the way of life cultivation and summed up rich cultivation theories and methods. Inspired by the spirit of "My life belongs to me, and I don't belong to heaven and earth", I am determined to "be kind to myself and others", which reflects the Taoist attitude of attaching importance to life and enjoying life.

To cultivate Buddhism and even to live forever is to ask people to live with a positive and detached attitude towards life. Human life is transformed by the spirit of heaven and earth of Tao, which is hard-won and should be cherished more. The requirements of his practice are mainly spiritual cultivation, physical cultivation and life cultivation. Taoism calls it "double cultivation of life", which makes it both spiritual and physical. The cultivation and improvement of mind and morality is the basis of cultivating material life. The standard of cultivating the virtue of mind is to learn the virtue of Tao, to be quiet, without desire and weak. Get rid of all selfishness and lust, be indifferent to fame and fortune, and never tire of foreign things, so that life can be maintained. At the same time, we should do good deeds, help others, and accumulate merits. The cultivation of life is based on moral cultivation, nourishing the spirit, and promoting health and longevity through the cultivation methods such as eating and guiding, holding your breath, forgetting the fetus, refining the essence, and moving the work. Eventually we will reach a sacred contract and become immortal.

Sandong Zongyuan

Taoism is based on three caves, which are ternary. The basic beliefs of Taoism and the Confucian classic system are based on this, which is the fundamental ancestor of Taoism.

Sankong Zongyuan took "three elements" as the beginning of cosmic chaos. As the saying goes, "one divides into three, three becomes three, three becomes three talents, and three talents are self-sufficient and everything is ready." However, "the essence of three holes, the same spirit, the only spirit, the application is divided into three." This is the basic exposition of "Three Confucius and Zongyuan" in "Seven Signs Out of the Cloud". To sum up, "Dao" qi evolved into three elements, which are: the first mixed point is too unitary; The second red mixture is too single; The third ghost is silent and mysterious. From ternary to three qi, the three qi are vitality, vitality and mysterious qi respectively, and then everything is born from the three qi. The process of its emergence and development is that before chaos, vitality begins. Vitality runs, and then the world begins to stand. Then everything is born from scratch, Yuan and Xuan. Tao Te Ching says: Tao gives birth to one, two, three and everything.

As the ancestor of "Tao", Sandong Zongyuan has another more important aspect, that is, the three elements are the three treasures. On the first day, Bao Jun, who was born in a mixed hole, was too metaplastic; The second Ling Baojun, from Hongzatai Metaplasia; The third treasure king, from mystery to super life. Sanbaojun ruled in Sanqing, so Sanbaojun is also called Sanqing. Tianbao Junzhi is in the realm of jade Qing, that is, the sky is clear and the air is green; Lingbaojun is in the upper bound, that is, Yu Yutian, whose gas is yellow; Shenbaojun is in the too clear realm, that is, the big sky, and its gas is mysterious and white. All three elements are one spirit, so the names of Sanbaojun are different, but they are all the same.

Sanbaojun and Sanqing, the full name of Taoism is Jade Qing Yuan Shi Tian Zun, Shangqing Lingbao Tian Zun and Taiqing Moral Tian Zun (Tai Shang Lao Jun). As the highest god of Taoism, he is the ancestor of gods and nature. At the same time, he is also the leader of Confucian classics, and handed down 36 true classics in three caves for Taoism. "Three Cave Zongyuan in Taoism" said: Tianbaojun said that the Twelve Classics are the first of the true caves; Ling Baojun said that the Twelve Classics was the leader of Dong Xuan. Shen Baojun said that the Twelve Classics are the leaders of the Cave God. Three-hole synthesis of thirty-six zunjing. The three major cave classics also have their own teaching objects to meet the taste of learning Taoism and monasticism. Those who began to learn benevolence began to enter the immortal stage, and there was no place to climb, so they first taught the "Cave of the Gods". Secondly, wisdom is getting better and better, and it has entered the realm of the Middle Way, so China religions use caves to explore the Lingbao Sutra. Finally, he reached the realm, and his wisdom did not stagnate. Therefore, the guru taught me to use holes to really treasure scriptures. Its purpose is to induce customs and cultivate immortals through Confucian classics and culture, and to prove Taoism in all aspects. Therefore, the compilation of Taoist classics in later generations takes "three caves and four auxiliary" as an example, and constructs a Confucian classics education system based on "three caves and three ancestors".

A quiet desire

Chapter 45 of Tao Te Ching says that "quietness is the right way in the world". "Old Xiangzi Jules" explains: "Tao is always quiet without pleasure, so heaven and earth are always right." This clearly tells people that to learn Taoism and cultivate Buddhism, we must be happy and quiet without our own personal addiction, which is in line with the essence of Taoism.

Tao, with its quiet nature, incarnates and protects everything, never considering what you should get in return or want, and has no desire for everything. In human society, if the idea of "quietness" is adopted to govern the world and cultivate one's morality, the world will be harmonious and peaceful, people will have a better rest and life will be sublimated. Therefore, people who learn Tao and channel must first learn to be quiet and take constant silence as the code of conduct in order to realize the pursuit of Tao through practice. To this end, Jing Jing summed up the essence of Jing, saying, "People can always be quiet, and heaven and earth will be returned." Raise quietism to a very important height.

The static and turbid of Taoism interact and correspond to each other. The Book of Songs says: "The source of turbidity is the foundation of quietness in motion". Meaning: Qing is the source of turbidity, and motion is the condition to explain silence. Cultivation is through cultivation, from turbid to clear, from quiet to alive. Make people feel calm, quiet, refined and full of spirit, cherish and nurture the driving force of life and improve the quality of life. This relationship and expression between clarity and turbidity, movement and stillness is also a complete expression of the stillness of Tao. The Book of Changes says: "Those who master the Tao are clear and turbid, moving and quiet." People build roads, the body is clear and the air is turbid, and the dynamic and static are in harmony, which conforms to the meaning of quietness. A dogmatic understanding of tranquility, or treating silence as tranquility, cannot fully conform to the meaning of Tao.

So, what kind of practice can enter the real realm of peace? "Seven Stars Cloud" said: "It is clear in the mind, not in things; The anti-God is convinced that if you don't move, you will be quiet. " The quotation of "True Immortals Means Truth" also says: "Those who are pure are clear about their heart, while those who are quiet are calm. If the mind is clear, the external things can't be scratched, and the nature will be determined by the gods. If you are calm, you will not do evil desires, but enrich and enrich. " Its core principle is to think less and desire less. However, in life, fame and fortune constantly provoke people's desires and make them restless. But as a Taoist, you can't be exactly the same as a secular person, but you should really think about Tao and do less thinking and desire. Tao Te Ching says, "Responsibility is greater than desire". It means that the biggest cause of disaster is lust. So "go to what, go to luxury, go to Thailand." That is to say, "lack of desire." The so-called no desire is to ask people to have a correct attitude towards worldly desires such as fame and fortune, debauchery and wealth, and not to hunt with extreme behavior, nor to have excessive thoughts and extravagant demands. Excessive lust is not only harmful to their physical and mental health, but also complicates interpersonal relationships and becomes the root of social evil. We should take no desire as the code of conduct, and finally reach the highest state of "Tao often has no desire to be happy and quiet"

Natural inaction

Tao takes nature as the law, governs by inaction, and achieves everything and self. Its meaning is simple but so profound.

Nature and inaction are two different but closely related theoretical terms. The so-called nature, Tao Te Ching said: "Man, Earth, Heaven, Heaven, Tao and Nature". The real person on the river noted: "Taoism is natural and nothing can be done." It shows that the essence of Tao is nature, and the natural laws of Tao are imitated by the world. Life is between heaven and earth, and the highest law of its behavior should also be to imitate the laws of Taoism and nature. Nature has no fixed pattern, Tao is a biochemical thing, and everything grows naturally according to its own nature, without imposing factors, thus ensuring the harmony of nature. When cultivating the true Tao, people should follow the natural nature of Tao, conform to the laws of natural changes in heaven and earth, respect the characteristics of all life in nature, and strive to maintain the harmony of nature. Don't force everything in the world, but conform to the natural law of things' occurrence and development. Be content, Zhi Zhi, and learn. Only in this way can you calm your mind and sublimate your spirit. .

However, to truly enter or reach the realm of "nature", we must practice the "inaction" lifestyle. Tao Te Ching said: "The sage does nothing, but teaches without words." . He said, "Tao always does nothing." Telling people that "Tao" is the practice of inaction, and realizing everything through the action of inaction embodies the great ontology of "Tao". Therefore, the so-called inaction is not passive inaction, but opposing "promising". We should follow the laws of nature and do not forcibly or forcibly interfere with the natural occurrence and development of things. Naturally it will be perfect. To this end, Wang Jingyang wrote a poem in Ming Dow: "There is nothing in the way of nature, and if you do nothing, you will do something." Warn the monks to practice the true way of natural inaction and not to be persistent. Therefore, in early Taoism, "inaction" was once regarded as the fundamental teaching purpose of harmony, heavenly heart and peace. It is also pointed out that practice is omnipotent, governing the body is beneficial to God, and governing the country is beneficial to people. It embodies the basic attitude of Taoism towards social politics and self-cultivation.

But in this world, there is always a desire for fame and fortune, wealth, luxury, food, treasures, spacious rooms, and musical products. But beyond the law of natural inaction, there will be all kinds of promising disadvantages and turn into greed. Monks should not only abide by the doctrine of quietness and no desire, but also maintain a simple and inaction attitude towards life. Eliminate greed, be indifferent to ambition, do not demand anything, basically hope not to be divorced from social reality, take the cultivation of the whole body as the purpose, but leave the blame at risk, and finally reach the realm of ecstasy, persistence and inaction. In this regard, the "Seven Signs of Yun Qi" is also explained from two aspects: First, avoid harm first. Far from suspicion, far from villains, far from respect and far from travel. Be careful when eating, talking, making trouble and fighting. Always think about mistakes and change them to good ones. The second is to be able to understand astronomy, geography and personnel; Connect ghosts and gods, connect opportunities. On the basis of active understanding of nature, society and interpersonal relationships, we should learn Taoism and monasticism better.

Weak and indisputable

Being weak and indisputable is the Taoist way to cultivate one's morality. From the observation, thinking and analysis of nature, Taishang Laojun profoundly expounded the truth that "softness is stronger than rigidity, weakness is stronger than strength" and "people are born weak and die strong". Therefore, it is necessary for Taoism to be weak. For Taoists, it is necessary to learn Taoism by faith and to standardize and practice themselves by weak teachings and thoughts. Literally, the word "weak" seems to mean weakness without spirit, but it is not only literal in Taoist teachings, but its spiritual essence is mainly reflected in two aspects.

First, weakness contains the spiritual essence of the existence and continuation of life. All kinds of creatures in nature can show their different flexibility because of life, especially life. People and things without life show strong rigidity. Therefore, Tao Te Ching says: People are born weak and die strong. Only by teaching people to practice monasticism and keeping the flexibility of life can they live longer. When Taoism inherits and develops this theory, it requires people to attach importance to the cultivation of the weak, and always adhere to the principle of "being energetic and making it soft". Keep breathing steady. Guide the situation, keep your body and mind calm and peaceful, and keep your body and mind healthy.

Second, weakness contains a positive philosophy of life. Taoism takes weakness as its purpose and advocates that all actions should not be too strong. The strong are easy to destroy first, and the strong are easy to bend first. Self-cultivation should be to wait and act, to be weak and not to act rashly, so as to broaden the mind of self-tolerance. Learn the spirit that water is weak but strong, adopt a positive attitude towards life, deal with things in life and keep fit.

Taoism's "indisputable" theory is related to the "weak" thought. The so-called "indisputable", "Tao Te Ching" says: Heaven is beneficial but harmless. The way of a saint is indisputable. That is, the operation of everything in the world and human behavior should conform to nature and cannot be forced, which is very close to the theory of natural inaction. Therefore, there is also a saying of "doing nothing without arguing".

Tao Te Ching profoundly expounded the theoretical spirit of "indisputable" through the discussion of "water". Tao Te Ching said: Good is like water, and water is the good of all things. Water, with its unique gentleness and indisputable character, flows when it is low, is square when it is smooth, and is round when it is round. It selflessly waters everything for people to use and enriches the people's growth. Never be self-reliant, self-sufficient or conceited. It can be described as perfection. Because of this, Zhang Daoling, the founder of Shi Tian, advocated the theory of "difficult to argue" at the beginning of teaching, and regarded "difficult to argue" as an important practice criterion for becoming a monk. "Old Xiangzi Jules" said: "The sage does not argue with the laity, but does it and avoids it." Those who practice Taoism and seek longevity should also "seek wealth without pains, take wealth without robbing the monarch, indulge without eating five flavors, wear clothes with disadvantages, and not contend with customs." Later, Taoism in the past dynasties was noble and true, avoiding the world and fame, being willing to live in the mountains, managing the family diligently, being kind and giving to others, which was the embodiment of the "indisputable" theory. Therefore, for a true Taoist, it is necessary to practice the way of weakness, cultivate one's morality with weakness, not compete with others for fame and fortune, be content with happiness, be a Zhi Zhi with little desire, strive for self-improvement, be unaware, unconscious, self-destructive and conceited. In order to repay myself, I always have the heart of helping the world and others. So as to overcome ourselves and improve ourselves, which is conducive to social peace and development.

Return to the original natural state

The purpose of Taoism is to restore life to its original state through its own practice and cultivation, which Taoism calls "returning to simplicity".

Taoism believes that the primitive nature of human beings is pure and pure, which is close to the nature of Tao. So people often say that children are innocent. However, with the growth of age, thoughts and desires are constantly sprouting, coupled with the different influences of social environment and the temptation of erotic goods, people's original life is constantly consumed, and their original pure nature is also lost. If they continue to indulge in lust, they will seriously damage their soul and life health, and run counter to it from now on. To learn Taoism and practice Buddhism is to return the mind and life to a pure and innocent state. The "simplicity" here refers to the truth, and it is extended to the simple state of "Tao", which refers to the true nature of the true Tao. However, if you want to return to simplicity, you must be naive. Tao Te Ching says, "Be naive and selfish." In other words, we should keep the truth and nourish the true elements of life, so that it will not be tempted by material desires or bothered by selfish distractions. The most important thing here is to minimize selfishness and desire. Be honest, abide by public morality, scrimp and save, let nature return to its pristine state, and conform to the Tao. In the process of life cultivation, we should repair the dissipated vitality in life through cultivation on the basis of good mind and make our body healthy. Then, through refining qi, spirit, spirit and returning to emptiness, life will return to the state of the true Tao and become immortal.

On the road of returning to simplicity, many practices of lofty truth and great virtue set an example for later generations to learn Taoism and cultivate monasticism. At the end of Han Dynasty, Wei Boyang was a real person, and he devoted himself to the practice of "being simple in his arms and having no honor". Ge Hong's reality does not change with the times, his words are frank, he puts an end to ridicule, and he is silent all day. He is called a simple man by the people of this country. Ji Kang was a good Taoist in Jin Dynasty, and his practice aim was "taking things as the foundation, keeping simplicity as the aim, and cultivating truth". Today, why can't people who study Taoism and cultivate monasteries further develop the doctrine of keeping simplicity and truth and leave a simple truth for future generations?

God takes responsibility.

The purpose of Taoist education is to purify people's minds, make people quiet and charitable, and help the world and people, thus playing a positive role in the harmony between society and people. Therefore, from its own standpoint, Taoism has formed a theory that conforms to its own characteristics in the view of retribution between good and evil. This theory is the theory of heaven taking responsibility. It is to believe that there is reincarnation in heaven, and good and evil are responsible. Its core theme is still around the issue of life and death, which carries forward the old doctrine of "Tao gives birth to virtue, and death suppresses evil".

The Taoist theory of "taking responsibility" comes from Taiping Jing, which means that ancestors can accumulate virtue and do good deeds, which can shelter their descendants; If the ancestors do evil again and again, future generations will suffer innocent disasters. That is, people often say that "predecessors planted trees, and later generations enjoyed the cool; The predecessors caused trouble, and future generations suffered. " Its characteristic is that the burden is inherited by predecessors and successors. However, there are two explanations for the exposition of "taking responsibility" in Taiping Jing. One is "inheritors first, losers later." Inheritor, it is said that the ancestors acted with the heart of heaven, made a little mistake, didn't know it, spent a long time, got together many times, gave birth to someone in the future, was deceived by innocence, and even passed on the family line by them. The loser is the ancestor who lost to the younger generation. "The second is," the three systems are born of * * *, and everything is called wealth. Wealth * * * desires, desires * * create evil, evil * * * creates treachery, and treachery * * * creates harm, but there is not only chaos, but also decline, which cannot be repeated, because it is the opposite. It means that the three systems of heaven, earth and man are born with * * * and raise money for a long time. If they want more, they will give birth to evil spirits, so that they cannot reconcile. They will not return to the source of nothingness until their property is exhausted. One is about the inheritance of good and evil, and the other is about the reincarnation of heaven.

It can be seen that the cycle of heaven has retribution, which is caused by people's evil desires and brings great harm to future generations and nature (including society). In order to prevent people from suffering injuries and disasters, people should learn Taoism, Taoism and monasticism to reduce the "burden". Taoism requires people to follow the code of conduct of "Tao", act according to the meaning of "Tao", accumulate virtue and be kind to others.

On the theory of fertility, Taoism also attaches great importance to and believes in the retribution of good and evil in this world. "Taiping Jing" also said: Good people are self-motivated, evil people have bad diseases, and both good and bad things are from the body. There is an old saying: Tao rewards good with life and evil with death. Do good, follow the path; If you do evil, harm will follow. It is believed that good and bad luck, good and bad, life and death, good and evil are rewarded. Therefore, people who believe in Buddhism should do good deeds and accumulate virtue, so that their spirit can be connected with heaven and they can live forever. Taoism's theory of accepting good and evil and responding to this world has a very important influence on later generations. Induction says: Misfortune and happiness have no door, only people call themselves. The report of good and evil is like a shadow. There is a god who has always been in charge between heaven and earth. Doing good deeds can prolong life and even live forever. People who commit crimes will be punished by shortening their life span according to the seriousness of the crime. Encourage people to pursue a positive outlook on life. At the same time, it also incorporates the reward theory. If you do good, you will be promoted to an immortal country; if you do evil, you will be punished in hell. After the death of a mortal, family members should believe in doing good deeds, chanting prayers and praying for Taiyi to save the suffering and save all beings.

These are the most basic teachings of Taoism. Although, all the teachings of Taoism, such as worshipping Huang Lao, being in harmony with Tao, being true and mysterious, being in harmony with form and spirit and being physical, have not been explained one by one. But through these core and basic teachings, I believe it will help you really understand and understand Taoism.

Do everything possible to return to religion

By doing everything possible to return to teaching, we mean to return all the teachings of Taoism, such as Confucian classics, science and education, legalism, precepts and methods of cultivation, to Taoism and really think about Taoism. Anyone who studies and serves the Tao, no matter which Taoist school he belongs to or what kind of education he is good at, such as teaching by example and science and education, should have the same belief pursuit and basic teachings. As far as Taoism is concerned, there are two schools of Taoism: righteousness, integrity and truth, but the belief system and Confucian classics system of the two schools are the same. They all take the Tao of Truth as their highest belief, worship the Three Pure Tao, and take the Three Caves and Four Auxiliary Classics as the foundation of Confucian classics. Zhengyi takes truth as one thing, takes punishing evil and forgetting good as its connotation, advocates accumulating true merits and practicing truth, and what it needs to embody and advocate is supreme truth. Although the cultivation is divided into Dante and Fu Yong. But the core content is to be kind to others for yourself. For a Taoist, whether it is righteousness or reason, it should be the practice of mind, body and Tao, and it should not be neglected. Zhang Jixian, a 30-generation Shi Tian, once said: You can't be free from this body. That is to say, to practice Taoism, we must first practice body and mind, accumulate Taoist merits and unite our own spirit, and achieve the purpose of self-cultivation (practicing body and mind and achieving Taoist truth) and self-cultivation (helping others with one's own merits). Discipline of science, education and teaching. Canon is to standardize the words and deeds of Taoists in order to meet the requirements of monasticism, such as three conversions and five precepts: three conversions require Taoists to convert to three treasures to clarify their beliefs; The five precepts, abstinence from killing, self-entertainment, abstinence from prostitution, abstinence from theft, abstinence from lying and abstinence from alcohol are all aimed at improving moral cultivation. Science and education, on the other hand, aims at chanting and fasting, so as to calm the mind, make the self-centered mind kiss the gods and prove the truth of the Tao. At the same time, it is also an important form to publicize Taoist teachings and teach them.

In short, the teaching methods and forms of Taoism are based on "Tao". As a Taoist priest. Serve with morality. There is a couplet in the Dragon and Tiger Mountain Ancestral Temple in Shitianfu, which reads: Gao Long crouches, ghosts and gods respect him.

Biological change

Taoist view of change and Taoism: Taoism attaches great importance to the change of things and the whole world. According to Taoism, nothing in the world is eternal. One of the properties of the avenue is endless cycle, which promotes the changes of the world, including the evolution of the universe. At the same time, Taoism and pre-Qin Taoism only emphasize the difference between adapting to natural and social changes. While acknowledging the laws of change, it is also required to master these laws in your own hands and use them to control the changes of yourself and foreign objects. The concept of change is the theoretical basis for Taoism to pursue harmony with Taoism and immortality, and it is also the theoretical basis for all Taoism.

Tao is in perpetual motion.

Laozi's Taoist theory contains rich dialectical thoughts. In his view, Tao is constantly circulating, and the law of Tao's movement is constantly moving towards its own opposite (the movement against Tao). In his view, the images of existence, nothingness, height, low, long, short, front and back. They all exist in a relative relationship, and misfortune and happiness are interdependent and mutually transformed. Who can master the nodes (poles) of transformation? There is no normal situation, and normal will become abnormal, and good will become bad. Who knows its pole? Is everything all right? The recovery is amazing, and it is the demon that recovers well. These profound thoughts were not only inherited and developed by Doumen, but also had a far-reaching impact on the whole philosophy of China. On the basis of Laozi's thought, Taoist post-school summed up a proposition that "extremes are contrary, and heaven is right", which has become a wise saying for China people to observe things. Related to this, Taoism believes that weakness can overcome strength. Laozi said that weakness is the function of Tao. Softness is the use of Tao. He metaphorically said that the weakest thing in the world is water, but when it attacks something strong, nothing can beat it. Therefore, the weakest people in the world can come freely in the most difficult things.

A seamless picture of the world

Taoism believes that the world driven by the avenue and everything in it are in a constantly changing movement. Ge Hong thinks: "The changers are the nature of heaven and earth." ("Huang Bai, the Inner Chapter of Bao Puzi") In the Five Dynasties, Taoist priests discussed all kinds of natural or auspicious changes from Tao in a more general way. He put forward: "If there are few children, they will be strong, strong will be old, old will die, and death will be empty." Deficiency is transformed into God, God is transformed into Qi, and Qi is transformed into things, and the transformation is incomplete. Everything is not born, but has to be born. Retail price: Everything wants to die and has to die. "Similarly, society is in an endless change. This change view of Taoism may be related to their closeness to nature, careful observation of a large number of changes in nature, and long-term participation in alchemy practice.

The Taoist view of change constantly breaks human experience and fails to see some limitations of slow change. Most people can see the changes around them, but they can't imagine that even the ocean and land will swap places. Taoism believes that they are not eternal. Ge Hong's Biography of the Immortal said in the tone of dialogue between the Immortal King and Ma Gu that he saw the East China Sea turn into a mulberry field three times. The statement that the sea has turned into a field is obviously reasonable in geology.

Belief reversal and grasping the secrets of nature;

Taoism emphasizes seamless change, and at the same time divides change into two categories: forward change and inverse change. Hue means that from the perspective of the evolution of the universe, the Tao gives birth to one, two, three and everything. Or Tai Chi can be divided into five elements of yin and yang, which are transformed into people who breed the spirit of all things, and different things.
