Pay tribute to the guardian of the snow-capped mountains (1)

Speaking of Confucian village, there must be many people who don't know where it is. But when it comes to the Himalayas, Mount Everest, Mashan in Xixia State and other famous mountains, I think you probably know the location of your village. Yes, Rucun is hidden in the depths of the snow-capped mountains, located in Gongdang Township, Jilong County, at the junction of China and Nepal. Although I am not Rucun, I have been stationed in Rucun for more than a year, and I fell in love with every grass and tree in Rucun. I can't leave my old lady, snow mountain and small teahouse. The work in the village is coming to an end. Looking back on the past year, it seems that it was yesterday.

The picture shows the panorama of Rucun Village in Gongdang Township, Jilong County.

Rush into the village in your heart

Strange, I was born in Shandong, grew up in Lhasa, settled in Lhasa, and worked in the Third People's Hospital of Xizang Autonomous Region. Now in Rucun, on the border between China and Nepal, I see the Himalayas every day. It's April, and it's still freezing here.

The picture shows overlooking the snow-capped mountains.

Things have to start from March 29th, 20021year. When I got off work in the morning, the personnel department of the hospital telephoned me to hand over my work in the afternoon, and immediately prepared to live in Rucun, Gongdang Township, Jilong County, Shigatse for one year. I was a little surprised when I received the notice. Things came too suddenly, but I accepted life without much thought. For our cadres and workers in Tibet, staying in the village has become a commonplace, in order to change the backward appearance of agricultural and pastoral areas, to keep close contact with farmers and herdsmen, and to protect one side's peace. In 20 12, I was stationed in Ruoda Village, Naqu County, at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters, where I helped the villagers to see a doctor, dig up Chinese caterpillar fungus and keep tents. Sometimes bears visit our dormitory area at night, and whenever we hear dogs barking at night, we are particularly nervous. It was a hard year, but in close contact with nature, in the process of working and living with herdsmen, we gained from each other. A few days before departure, many good friends introduced me to the cultural characteristics of Geelong. They all say that the Geelong Valley in Geelong County is a mysterious fairyland with a low altitude. In spring, there are azaleas, ancient trees and birds singing all over the mountain. Rucun, located on the border, is the nearest village to Nepal in Geelong County and an ancient village with an altitude of about 3,600 meters. Compared with my previous experience in the village, I think your village is nothing.

On April 12, accompanied by Vice President Jin Yang and political foreman Tsering, my teammate Deji and I set off for Geelong County with the vision of living in the village. It is nearly 800 kilometers from Lhasa to Geelong, and I spent the night in Saga County, Shigatse City. Boy, the altitude is about 4500 meters, and the headache symptoms are obvious. There is no oxygen supply in the hotel, so I can hardly sleep all night. The next morning, after breakfast, we set out for Geelong County as planned, arrived at the county seat at noon, and immediately went to Qiangji County to run a newspaper. We were received by Wang Qiang, Minister of County Organization Department.

He looked at us doubtfully and said, "Are these two lesbians coming to live in your village?"

The vice president who escorted us nodded yes.

"Your unit can't send gay men? That village is remote, with poor conditions and extremely inconvenient transportation. It's really inconvenient for lesbians. "

"Oh, minister, the nature of our unit is more lesbians. I didn't know much about the situation when I came here for the first time, so I sent a lesbian this time. "

In this way, the local leaders dragged us to Gongdang Township with doubts, and then went to Rucun for work handover with the last batch of resident captains. After nearly two days of urgent marching, I finally arrived at Rucun Village Committee, a two-story building, which was affectionately called the "villa" of the resident cadres. So we became Confucian villagers.

Grandma Basang's "Atrium"

On the day we arrived in Rucun, we visited several villagers as a report to them. Confucian village consists of three villages: Shangru village, (middle) Confucian village and Xiaru village, collectively known as Confucian village, with 52 families and 240 people. Five kilometers away, there is a natural village called Ningcun, where there are 26 families, 1 10, which belongs to the jurisdiction of Confucian village.

The picture shows a teenager with a back water.

The first time I went, I was most impressed by an old woman named Basang. She has never had a son and a half, and her dark cheeks are full of vicissitudes. She looks over 70 years old, but in fact she is not yet 60 years old. She usually loves to drink highland barley wine, and with a little alcohol on her body, she enthusiastically introduced us to the old house where she lived. This old house is a two-story building, the ground floor is the site of cattle and sheep, and the second floor is for people to live in. She said it was left by her grandparents. She was in this room when she was born, and she was very affectionate. She also built a new house during the new rural construction, but she would rather leave the new house empty than live in this dark old adobe house, no matter who advised her. If she doesn't lead the way after entering the door, she can't see the way. There was no light, and it took a few minutes in the dark to see clearly that I was standing in the "living room". There is a cushion on the ground against the wall, and several stumps are also used as stools. There is a simple iron stove rack in front of the cushion, with small flames flashing and licking the bottom of the pot. The old man Basang called us to sit down (sitting on the floor), adding cow dung to the stove rack and making tea for us. There is sudden smoke in the furnace, and it is difficult to breathe. It is best to sit down or squat down. Looking around, the walls have been blackened and shiny, and you can't see their true colors at all. There are some utensils neatly placed on the countertop, which is also a black theme. There are no windows around, only a hole the size of a football above the roof, which is used for lighting and ventilation. The only electrical appliance is the TV set in the corner of the east wall. The Tibetan version of The Journey to the West is playing back and forth, which is the villagers' favorite TV series.

The picture shows visiting villagers.

Sit down and chat. We don't understand, but ask Mrs. Basang why she has a new house and keeps this old house alone instead of moving in. The old man looked at the flames in the stove with bright eyes and said happily, life is good now, just like the flames in this stove are getting stronger and stronger. It is the production party in China and the happy life brought to us by the new China. She snapped her fingers and said that her family has seven acres of arable land, and the state also has more than 10,000 policy subsidies every year, including grassland protection subsidies 1.400, border protection subsidies of 5,000, ecological protection subsidies of 3,500, and subsistence allowances and medical insurance, so there is no need to worry about life at all. She looked around the walls and said, I didn't move because I wanted to leave these historical relics for future generations to see. Following the direction of her finger, we saw several vessels that were smoked to be unworthy of the name. This is what she calls a treasure. She went on to say that the party's kindness is deeper than the sea, in order to let future generations understand that a happy life is hard to come by. She thinks it is meaningful to protect the old house and be a witness to history. We were all particularly moved to see her extremely serious appearance. Yes, although it is remote and not rich compared with towns, the people here are simple, kind and hardworking. After coming out of the grandmother's house, we made up our minds that we must successfully complete the task of staying in the village, do more practical things and do good deeds for the masses, and repay the people's protection of this secret realm.

Rajiga, Raniga, Lasonga

Jilong County governs Zongga Town, Jilong Town, Zheba Township, Gongdang Township, Chana Township and Salle Township. Gongdang township is the most remote, and Confucian village is the most remote village in Gongdang township. Because it is too far away, there are very few outsiders in Confucian village. The villagers are particularly curious when they see us cadres in the village from Lhasa, and our every move is a hot topic for them. After living in Confucian village for a while, our general feeling is that the road here is too difficult to walk.

The picture shows the road surface washed away by heavy rain.

It's about 100 km from Jilong County to Gongdang Township. There are three mountains to climb, a cement road and a dirt road with gravel. The mountain road is like a skirt, along the snow line, close to the cliff, circling around the mountain like a "Z", and the drive usually takes more than two hours. Debris flows, landslides, ice and snow or avalanches are often encountered. Fortunately, I have walked this road before, and I was not scared out of my wits. From June 10 to April of the following year, the mountain is often closed due to heavy snow, and this road is closed to traffic for about half a year. Therefore, Gongdang Township is often an "island". Sometimes the mountains are blocked by heavy snow, and we haven't had time to reserve our living materials. At this time, the life of cadres and workers in the village will be extremely difficult, and almost everyone has the experience of starving and eating expired food. Whenever the cadres in the township talk about these difficulties, we are very unhappy. The cadres and masses stationed here all the year round are unknown, and their contribution really exceeds the imagination of the city people. Faced with the difficult road, the cadres and the masses here have no complaints or discouragement. If the car is blocked, just walk with your legs and carry the goods on your shoulders. It is with selfless dedication that generations of border guards guard the peace of the border. Since the Seventh Central Forum on Tibet Work, the state has intensified the road construction in border counties, townships and villages, and strengthened the road maintenance team and equipment. Now Gongdang Township has changed from an "island" to a hot spot for punching cards, which has greatly eased the life and production difficulties of villagers, cadres and workers.

The picture shows the mountain road leading to Rucun.

The most difficult road is the mountain road from the township to the village. It takes more than 1 hour to drive 22 kilometers. A narrow mountain road is extremely rugged, and the road is built by the mountain. The inner side is against the rock wall, and the outer side is a deep ditch. When turning a corner, the car has to go backwards once or twice, and it can only pass after adjusting the angle. If you are not careful, you may be buried in this barren mountain. Once we met a landslide from Rucun to Gongdang Township, and we got off and walked over the mountains for more than ten kilometers. On the other side of the mountain, the township cadres drove us on. Although it is difficult to walk, you can hear songs from time to time on this road. Villagers often carry things on their backs and sing while walking, and melodious songs reverberate between heaven and earth. Under their influence, we sang all the way, whether by car or on foot. After walking back and forth on the mountain roads in my hometown and village for several times, I also learned a Tibetan song called Missing, which reads "Grandma Zen Qiong of Rajiga, Abba Zen Qiong of Raniga, Tsobo Zen Qiong of Lasongjia, Payu Zen Qiong of Laxijia ..." The lyrics are to climb the first mountain. The deep homesickness of this song makes us residents miss our hometown from time to time, but when we sing this song again at the moment of parting, the villagers and mountains and rivers in Rucun are flashed in our minds.

Small enterprises in the same township

If you want to replenish supplies and improve your life in Confucian villages, you have to go to Gongdang Township. There are six grocery stores, five restaurants and a motorcycle repair shop on a street in Gongdang Township. The rent of facade houses close to the government is more expensive. The first one to go out is the shop, and the rent is 6000 a year, and the farthest one is 2700. Often chat in front of the shop, or surf the Internet in the Tibetan restaurant on the second floor.

The nearest government commissary is run by a Mangkang couple in Changdu. They have been doing business in Gongdang Township for more than 20 years, selling not only daily groceries, but also motorcycles. There is also a billiard table at the entrance of the canteen. A game of billiards costs one yuan, and there is no limit to the number of people. You can play two or more people. Boss Wang Dun is very clever. He said that the villagers here especially like riding motorcycles, but in the past two years, they have bought more private cars, and the motorcycle business is not very good, so they did it by the way. Wang Dui and his wife became attached in the village. When Zhuo Ma was 23 years old, a fellow villager took him to Gongdang Township to make a living and met Wang Dui. They have a son and a daughter. My daughter is a junior at Tibet University and wants to be a teacher after graduation. My son is a senior in his hometown in Changdu, and he is taking the college entrance examination this year. The two witnessed the changes in Gongdang Township for more than 20 years. Wangdui said that the changes in the last five years have been particularly great. Many new houses have been built in the village. The road is good and there are many people. They intend to continue to do business here. They go back to their hometown in Changdu for three or four months every winter, and then return to Gongdang township in spring. There is a motorcycle repair shop opposite the canteen, which is owned by Wang Dun's nephew Luo Bu. Wang Dun said that Rob doesn't like studying, but he can make a living by learning the skills of repairing motorcycles. Zhuo Ma is very capable. She is very busy at home and abroad. She is satisfied with her present life. Asked when she would go to work, she said that she was used to working in the countryside and had feelings, and she would wait until she was able to do it.

The picture shows the face of Wang Dui and his wife's small sales department.

Above the canteen is a Tibetan restaurant, where our first breakfast in the village was settled. Tibetan noodles, sweet tea, Tibetan eggs and patties are standard in the set meal, and 20 yuan is enough to eat. The owner of the Tibetan restaurant is Lazhen, a girl from Rucun, who is in her early thirties and still unmarried. Hearing that her parents were engaged to her, she didn't agree, so she ran away from home and opened a restaurant with the support of her friends. After that, she took part in the training and got a chef's certificate. Tibetan food cooked by Lazhen is biased towards Sichuan style and is deeply loved by the surrounding people. Mainly engaged in home cooking, covered rice, fried rice, minced meat noodles, hot and sour powder, potato chips, steamed buns and so on. And business has been good. In recent years, several Tibetan restaurants have been added around, which has some influence on Lazhen. But she is confident and generous. She said that there are more restaurants, which means that more people come to work in the countryside. Isn't it better for everyone to earn money?

The joys and sorrows of small clinics

While participating in the relevant work of the village Committee, we should give full play to our specialties and actively publicize the knowledge of prevention and treatment of infectious diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis and hepatitis. We appear in every village, primary school and kindergarten in the township.

Gongdang Township is located in the front line of the border, and there is great pressure to prevent and control the epidemic situation in COVID-19. We won the support of the Third People's Hospital of Xizang Autonomous Region and donated a batch of epidemic prevention materials to Gongdang Township. Among them: disposable masks 10000 bottles, Jianzhisu Disinfecting Effervescent Tablets 100 bottles, 500 pairs of film gloves, 500 pairs of surgical gloves, 500 disposable hats, 50 bottles of disinfectant, 40kg of 75% alcohol, 30 glass thermometers, 3 fingertip oximeters, 2 body temperature guns, 30 bottles of 3M hand sanitizer, etc.

At the same time, a convenience clinic has been set up to provide free consultation for villagers and distribute medicines free of charge. Our small consulting room is particularly popular, and villagers who are seriously ill and slightly ill let us see it. Some have loose bowels before the full moon, children have colds and rashes, and they have toothache after drinking too much wine. We all accept the examination patiently, treat those who can make a diagnosis and give treatment immediately, but we can't give professional treatment advice. Sometimes we carry medicine boxes from door to door to publicize health care knowledge and epidemic prevention knowledge, and everyone warmly receives us. When the villagers in the neighboring village heard about it, they also invited us to make rounds. I will never forget the diagnosis and treatment of several villagers.

The picture shows the convenience clinic in Rucun.

There is an 83-year-old Maura (grandmother) who has a headache. Her son invited us to visit him. My little friend and I went to his house with a visiting box. I saw grandma walking around on crutches. According to the preliminary examination, grandma's cardiopulmonary function is ok, but her blood pressure is 150/ 100mmHg, and her eyes are cataracts. We judged that her headache was related to high blood pressure. After explaining the illness to her, she recognized it. In fact, she knows what disease she has, but she is reluctant to spend money on formal treatment and doesn't want to delay her family's time. We gave her treatment advice and prescribed medicine, and she accepted it satisfactorily. Later, when I went to her home for the holidays, I saw that her physical condition was much better than before. She welcomed us into the room in high spirits and told us about her youth. She said that once a representative elected by the village went to Beijing to meet Chairman Mao, and she was one of the representatives. Before leaving, for various reasons, she couldn't make it, which made her regret all her life. The love of the older generation of villagers for Chairman Mao is touching. They are convinced that Chairman Mao is the embodiment of Manjusri Bodhisattva.

The picture shows the scene of promoting tuberculosis prevention and control knowledge.

Once, a middle-aged villager Jia (big sister) fell down and his back pain was unbearable. We went to see her with painkillers and painkillers. During the treatment, we chatted and learned that she was in a bad mood recently. The main reason is that the passbook is lost and 5000 yuan in cash can't be found. She probably knows who stole it, but because of the face of acquaintances, she doesn't want to mention it. When she was doing farm work, she accidentally slipped and hit her waist on a stone. She felt that everything was not going well. At some point, she burst into tears with injustice. Listening to her story, we enlighten her from time to time and help her make suggestions. From her home, we found the parents of the "suspect" and asked them to take the initiative to refund the money. We also called our friends in the county public security bureau for legal advice. Then I heard that she recovered and felt much better. We speculated that she might have taken the money that belonged to her.

The picture shows the patrol.

Unfortunately, our consulting room is small after all and can only solve small problems. We are deeply guilty of some serious and difficult diseases. For example, a Paula (grandfather) who has been lying for nearly ten years suffers from rheumatic immune system diseases. I have been to several big hospitals in Lhasa, but none of them have been cured. He usually relies on Hada, who is tied to the bed, to do simple exercises and fight tenaciously against the disease. We can only give him and his family some pathological explanations and maintenance suggestions. There is also a 25-year-old girl who is ill in bed because of congenital weakness of leg muscles 15. Now only her head can rotate freely, and her whole body and limbs can't move, even if she is assisted. Because of long-term inactivity, her limbs muscles are severely atrophied and joints are deformed, and the simplest flexion and extension movements are difficult to complete. Moreover, her left leg is deformed and fixed. Although many doctors failed to get effective treatment, their families had to give up treatment. There is nothing we can do about this intractable disease, so we can only help sort out the medical records and ask our colleagues in Lhasa to help us find a way to treat it.

Time flies in the village. A year has passed in an instant, and I always feel that I have accomplished nothing. The villagers know that we are leaving. People will come to say goodbye to us every day, hoping that we can stay a little longer. People ask when we will come back. We don't want to go here either. I believe that with the support and help of all parties, the life of the villagers will get better and better. (China Tibet Net Text/Yang)
