In the history of modern calligraphy and painting in China, Wu Changshuo is undoubtedly the most dazzling. His art influenced the next two or three generations. Many modern painting masters either came from his door or were influenced by his art, such as Chen Shiceng and Qi Baishi of modern Shanghai style. Fu Baoshi, Li Keran and Huang, the most powerful contemporary artists, are all from Wu Changshuo. Wu Changshuo was the most accomplished painter, calligrapher and painter in the late Qing Dynasty. Wu Changshuo's art is more valuable than creation. He paints with calligraphy, and his art is different. Even Qi Baishi once said, "I want Jiuyuan to be a running dog, and the three factions (referring to Xu Wei, Zhu Da and Wu Changshuo) will turn (sometimes writing" Old Ivy League Turn "). Wu Changshuo's art not only benefited China's masters, but also made Japanese artists in the East pay homage. Shinichi Kawai, a famous Japanese seal engraver, consulted Wu Changshuo for many years and introduced him into the Japanese seal engraving circle, which had a great influence. The Japanese praised Wu Changshuo as the first person after the Tang Dynasty. At the age of 30, he asked Ren Bonian, a famous painter at that time, to paint with Shi Guwen's seal script technique. Ren Bonian was amazed and predicted that Wu Changshuo would become the mainstay of painting. Japanese calligraphy and painting circles admired Wu Changshuo, and specially cast a bronze statue of Wu Changshuo, which was exhibited by Xiling Press.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Wu Changshuo's birth/KLOC-0, a series of cultural activities were held in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and other places to commemorate the immortal achievements of this master and the spirit of Wu Changshuo's predecessors, such as Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall and Xiling Printing Factory. The TV movie Wu Changshuo, the Master of Art, was also broadcast in early September.
