Brief introduction of auspicious day of ecliptic

Marking the year, month, day and time with heavenly stems and earthly branches is a unique method in China, and the Gregorian calendar is a traditional calendar marking the year, month and day with heavenly stems and earthly branches. Gregorian calendar is a perpetual calendar based on the China lunar calendar. Legend has it that it was created by Xuanyuan Huangdi, so it is called solar calendar. It is also commonly known as "general book" among the people, but it is also called "tong sheng" because the word "book" in the general book is homophonic with the word "lose". The main contents of the Gregorian calendar are 24 solar terms, such as daily taboos, dry branches, spiritual values, stars, moon phases, zodiac luck, auspicious and evil spirits (ecliptic, underworld) and so on. The concept of an evil day in the underworld is a term coined by the ancient yellow calendar compilers relative to "auspicious days in the ecliptic".

The ancients believed that choosing the auspicious day of the ecliptic is not good or bad regardless of the year, month and time, but depends on each other and makes a comprehensive choice. The traditional calendar chooses "White Tiger, Heavenly Punishment, Suzaku, Heavenly Prison, Xuanwu and Gouchen" as evil spirits, which is considered unlucky to commit crimes. "Qinglong, Tang Ming, Jingui, Tiande, Yutang and Siming" are collectively called the six zodiac signs, and the so-called auspicious day of the zodiac is the day when these six gods are located. The day when the Six Gods are on duty is called the auspicious day of the ecliptic, and everything goes well and is auspicious. The orthodox auspicious day of the zodiac must be carefully selected in combination with the user's birthday.
