Brief Introduction of the Author of Japanese Handicrafts

Liu Zongyue is a famous Japanese folk art theorist and aesthetician. 19 13 graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Literature, Imperial University, Tokyo, Japan. While studying religious philosophy, I became interested in Japanese and Korean folk arts and began to collect and study them. In the fifteenth year of Taisho (1926), he worked with Tomoto Kenji (1886- 1963), Kawai Yasujiro (1890- 1996) and Hamada Yuji (/kloc) 1936 was the first curator of Japan Folk Art Museum, 1943 was the first president of Japan Folk Art Association, and published The Complete Works of Liu Zongyue. 1957 was awarded the honorary title of "cultural contributor" by the Japanese government.
