Diaojiaolou is one of the oldest buildings in China. Every inch of it is so exquisite, full of pictures, with mountains and rivers, insects singing and birds singing, bloom and fruits harvesting. It seems to be integrated with nature.

The third article: Tujia Diaojiaolou composition

My mother's hometown is in laifeng county, Enshi City, Hubei Province, which is a mountainous area. Many people still live in traditional Tujia houses, which are called diaojiao buildings.

Diaojiaolou is mostly built on the mountain, showing the shape of a tiger sitting, with "Zuo Qinglong, Right White Tiger, Former Suzaku, Later Xuanwu" as the best house field. Later, it paid attention to orientation, either sitting west facing east or sitting east facing west. The diaojiao building on the mountain is divided into two floors, the upper floor is ventilated, dry and moisture-proof, and the lower floor is a pigsty or used to pile up sundries.

The construction of diaojiao building is an important event in Tujia people's life.
