What do you mean by three words and two beats?

Sanyan Erpai refers to a collection of five famous legendary novels in Ming Dynasty.

San Yan Er Pai includes Yu Shiming Yan, Shi Jing Tong Yan and Xing Shi Heng Yan edited by Feng Menglong, and Surprise at the First Moment and Surprise at the Second Moment edited by Ling Mengchu. China's classical short vernacular novels reached their peak with secular short stories.

The Historical Significance of Sanyan Erpai

In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, the creation of popular novels developed greatly, among which San Yan by Feng Menglong was an outstanding representative. On the surface, Sanyan mainly edited the Song and Yuan editions and the Ming editions, but in fact Feng Menglong also made some changes while editing. Editing and modification is Feng Menglong's text reconstruction.

From Sanyan, we can see that Feng Menglong's thought is extremely complicated, but the overall structural form of his thought can still be distinguished, that is, the traditional cultural thought is deconstructed with the newly developed "main emotion" thought that exaggerates natural humanity in modern times, and at the same time, the Confucian thought dominated by Buddhism is absorbed to accommodate and digest the "main emotion" trend of thought.
