Manjushri's birthday?

The fourth day of the fourth lunar month.

"The fourth day of April (the lunar calendar) is the birthday of Manjusri Bodhisattva. It is usually better to worship bodhisattva in the morning. On the birthday of the Bodhisattva, it is a custom to worship Manjusri Bodhisattva.

Manjushri was born in Swasti, India. Later, she became a monk with Sakyamuni Buddha, and often followed and waited on the Buddha to help him preach the Dharma. Manjusri Bodhisattva is the first of the four Bodhisattvas and the teacher of seven buddha. Therefore, Manjushri has a high status and influence in Mahayana Buddhism. It is also well known and respected by everyone.

Pay attention to Manjusri Bodhisattva:

1. The incense for worshipping Bodhisattva should be called "please" instead of "buy". When burning incense, burn incense first and then worship. Three sticks of incense is enough. You can worship in a furnace. When you pass the Buddhist temple, you can cross your hands and worship three times. Buddhism doesn't take it seriously at all. The most important thing is whether you are clean and self-centered.

2. The cushion in the middle of the temple is for family use. Men bow to the left and women to the right. Go clockwise in the temple. Goodbye.

Try not to walk in the middle before entering the temple. Go up along the edge of the stairs, men left and women right. Try not to go through the main entrance, because the abbot's door in the evening class comes from the main entrance, and the novice monk and others come from the side entrance. Therefore, in order to be consistent with the temple, everyone should try to enter from the side door, male left and female right, cross their right feet as much as possible when entering, and leave from the side door when going out. Don't step on the threshold. Never step on the threshold when you enter the temple gate.
