On the contrary, the Mid-Autumn Festival in Dongguan is a very lively and harmonious visit in the form of mothers honoring their daughters and grandmothers honoring their grandchildren. In a family, if a daughter gets married, it is necessary to start sending the Mid-Autumn Festival. Sending Mid-Autumn Festival in the first year is called sending Mid-Autumn Festival in a new way. When the mother of a married woman chooses an auspicious day (usually given by her mother), she will choose a big rattan basket filled with moon cakes and fruits (angular, grapefruit, banana, persimmon and peanut) for her daughter. If she hasn't added a grandson, she should also buy two lanterns. If there is only one child, she will also send two children to take care of them in pairs. The lanterns given in the first year must be made of traditional bamboo, and several pairs of candles are also traditional red candles. Lanterns depict a mother holding her son, which means "having a baby early". If it weren't for the new Mid-Autumn Festival, it would be much simpler. Two boxes of moon cakes, some horns, grapefruit (we call it He Lu), bananas and persimmons. You can give them without fruit. If you have children, you must send lanterns (including several packages of candles). New era and new style, now many people use toys (or give money) instead of lanterns. If there are several married daughters, the old mother will be busy enough for her, choosing auspicious days, buying gifts and choosing the itinerary.
