When is the eleventh day of the first lunar month?

The eleventh day of the first month is "son-in-law's day".

It is said that the father-in-law will give a banquet in honor of his son-in-law. Therefore, in the past, there was a folk saying that "the son-in-law is invited on the eleventh day of the first month, and the spring is full and the crops are bumper", which means that the son-in-law is invited on the eleventh day of the first month.

The food on this day also has certain customs. There is a saying that "when a son-in-law comes to the door, the chicken has no soul", which means that on the day of his son-in-law, the chicken in his father-in-law's family was scared to death because it would be killed to entertain him. On the one hand, it shows respect for the son-in-law; on the other hand, eating chicken represents good luck.

The eleventh day of the first month is the birthday of Empress Taijun.

The eleventh day of the first lunar month is Taijun's birthday. Empress Taijun is a well-known deity in northern Zhejiang and even the whole Taihu Lake basin, and mainly plays the role of the patron saint of young women.

It is composed of three gods: Taijun (Taijun's wife), Taijun (Taijun's mother) and Taijun (Taijun's bodhisattva), among which Santai is the most trusted. The people often "adopt" her children and pray for their healthy growth.
