Details of Xiannongtan (Beijing Xiannongtan)

Xiannong was called Emperor Society and Wang Society in ancient times, and it was not until the Han Dynasty that Xiannong was called. In the spring, farmers borrowed fields, quoted poems from the first agricultural altar, and later cited Shennong; "When the altar is in the field, we should worship the peasants first". In Wei Dynasty, Xiannong was one of the six gods of the country (,,,Xiannong, Shehe, Ji was the six gods of the country). Sacrificing farmers to heaven, before the Tang Dynasty, it was the Emperor's Society, and the altar was named Tiantan. After the year of hanging arch (AD 685-688), it was changed to Xiannong altar. At this point, the sacrifice to farmers was formally defined as a ritual system in feudal society. Every spring, the emperor personally leads hundreds of civil and military officials to pay a courtesy visit to the first peasant altar.
