Zhejiang Lanxi folk custom

There are different opinions about the origin of bullfighting in Lanxi. "According to legend, during the Three Kingdoms period, Wu Luzhi was specially designed to entertain his wife." Or "Bullfighting began in Song Mingdao (1032- 1033)." Bullfighting in Lanxi Beixiang has become a habit. Agriculture and animal husbandry are developed here, and the working people in Beixiang are determined and brave, and sports and entertainment activities with bullfighting as the content are deeply loved by them. When the bullfighting folk custom was put on the veil of "entertaining the gods", it became more prosperous.

Marriage Customs The marriage customs of men and women in Lanxi are similar, simple and different, and rich and poor are different. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, the process was quite complicated, mainly through engagement, celebration, moving, marriage, wedding, bridal chamber, three dynasties, two doors, full moon and so on. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the feudal buying and selling marriage was abolished, free love and marital autonomy were advocated, and economic marriage was advocated. Funeral custom The death of the old man in Lanxi is called "past life", and the funeral is mainly based on clothes and coffins, and a monument is built in front of the grave. Funerals vary from simple to complicated according to the family status of the deceased, and generally go through the final farewell, landing, funeral, burial, sealing, hanging, Dojo, enlightenment, funeral, thanking filial piety and other ceremonies. After death, people should burn for six or seven years, from seventeen to six or seven years, and the filial son can only get a haircut after six or seven years. Within two years after his death, Spring Festival couplets are marked with blue paper, white characters or black characters, door couplets and column couplets. The birthday customs in Lanxi include childbirth, birth registration (generally for baby girls), three dynasties, full moon, one hundred days, one year old and so on. And the custom of "recognizing parents" and "recognizing mother camphor tree". Every birthday is "over" to 16 years old. When you are 50 years old, you will celebrate your birthday every ten years. There are nine celebrations for men and ten for women. Ordinary people can only rely on their married daughters to give birthday presents for their birthdays. Worship the heavens and the earth first, worship the ancestors, and then be congratulated by the younger generation. After the ceremony, they eat longevity noodles, commonly known as longevity noodles. Rich people first put up stickers, set up birthday halls, hold birthday gifts and banquets. To build a new house, you should choose an auspicious day, orient on the spot, and dig your feet to lay the foundation stone. On the day when the column is built, guests will be welcomed. The central column will post "The vertical column welcomes the ecliptic day, and the upper beam meets the purple star by chance", and the horizontal column will approve "Good luck shines high" and hold a banquet in the evening to celebrate. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, this custom was simplified. The separation of brothers should be presided over by uncle. First, they have to decide how to support their parents, then divide their property and write a separation letter, which is signed by their father, brother and middleman.
