In our entertainment circle in the mainland, we usually worship bodhisattva, Buddha or land god before the TV series starts shooting. Everyone who has seen Hong Kong movies and the like knows that Hong Kong movies worship Master Guan more because they show justice. Whether in the mainland or Hong Kong, the worship ceremony before starting the machine is essential, because it means that the whole crew hopes to make a smooth profit and sell well at the box office.

So why is there such a custom? Actually, it has something to do with our tradition in China. No matter what you do in China, you pay attention to the weather, location and people. When overhauling civil engineering, that is, building a house, we will first find someone to calculate when it is appropriate, and our son will marry his daughter-in-law, and so will our daughter. We will find an auspicious day and have a happy wedding. It is also a big deal for the crew to start up. Of course, I have to worship before turning it on and pray that everything goes well.

In the eyes of China people, God is a very sacred thing, just as we have many myths and legends, as well as TV dramas, which all represent our people's beautiful yearning and reverence for God. There is an old saying that there is a god holding his head three feet high in the sky, a fairy in the sky and a landlord underground. In all important things, you must worship first.

And making a TV series is no small matter, ranging from a few months to a year or two. There is too much uncertainty in this. One of the most important safety facilities, there are so many machines in the unit that if something happens accidentally, it will definitely make a fuss. So, worship a god, pray to bless you, feel at ease, there is no harm.
