What's the difference between wishing and cashing?

To make a wish is to make one's own promise in front of Buddha and Bodhisattva, and pray for the blessing and protection of God and Buddha to realize one's wish. And making a wish is a promise made after realizing one's wish. You don't have to choose an auspicious day to make a wish, you can do it anytime, anywhere.

Prayer is to pray to Buddha and Bodhisattva that their wishes can be realized, and to pray in front of Bodhisattva, hoping that Buddha and Bodhisattva can help them realize their wishes, but they may not want to after their wishes are realized.

Second, the time requirements are different.

Generally, you don't need to choose an auspicious day to make a wish, you can do it anytime, anywhere. However, praying at Wutai Mountain generally requires a special auspicious day, or activities at Wu Ye Temple will be more effective.

Third, the way is different.

Generally speaking, after making a wish, you need to go back to Wu Ye Temple to make a wish, but you don't insist on making a wish.

Fourth, different mentality.

Making a wish means that I promise to the gods, which means equal exchange. And wishing is passive, begging. But whether you make a wish or ask for a wish, you must restore it afterwards, such as realizing your wish or rewarding the gods at the end of the year.
