How to write the inscription

First of all, determine the form of the text font, that is, the writing of the inscription.

Determine the appropriate size of the textbook.

Writing order: from right to left, from top to bottom.

Then choose the sentence to write. The time to erect a monument is also the time to be buried.

Inscription refers to the words carved on the vertical stone. This kind of writing is specially made for carving tablets. Inscription is a kind of writing genre, inscription and order. When setting a topic, it depends on what forms are included, either directly taking a monument as the topic, or taking an inscription on a monument as the topic, or taking the inscription in parallel order as the topic. There is no fixed format, and some don't write inscriptions and other words, just write the title of the article. Inscriptions generally include name, place of origin, family background, experience, articles and works, time of death, then burial in a certain place in a certain year and month, and finally inscriptions. Inscriptions are general compliments, mostly in verse, and three, four, five, seven words or prose can be used. The scenic spots and historical sites in China have formed a unique national feature of "multi-stele". Therefore, the inscription has become a practical style and has a wide range of applications.

Nowadays, the general traditional inscriptions are all evolved from the old name plaques, which are more suitable for people's lives. There is no essential difference between the two, but there is a trend of simplification.

Writing of traditional inscriptions

Traditional inscriptions generally consist of four parts.

Part I: Date of birth and death, age and place of birth of the deceased.

If you can't remember the date of birth and death, you can use "Yue Ji Ji Day" instead. Pay attention to the conversion between the national calendar and the lunar calendar when writing the date.

Now this part has been gradually omitted.

Matters needing attention

For dual-purpose (buried together) tombs, when one party has just died and the other party is still alive, the inscription should be left blank in the corresponding position.
