Thai marriage customs

1. When a local people hold a wedding, they should first put on a double happiness gauze ring, also called auspicious gauze ring, which is made of gauze and the size of a bowl, and there is a holy yarn to connect the gauze ring with the holy water bowl. This auspicious gauze ring should be worn by their respected elders on the couple's heads.

The bride must sit on the left of the groom, and the best man sits behind the bride. Then, the couple put their hands together, stretched forward to accept the etiquette of sprinkling water, and put a basin for receiving water under their hands.

3. After the watering ceremony, the groom was invited to enter the room, and the woman's parents spread white cloth in the center of the room, and put coconut wine and cloth for offering sacrifices to the gods. The groom lights two candles and incense, and worships ancestors and gods with the bride.

4. Wedding ceremony: First, go through a ceremony of making the bed. The bed should be arranged by a loving couple invited by the bride or a couple with children on both sides, which means that their marriage is also happy and the children are complete.

After the bed-making ceremony, the groom needs to guard the new house alone for a few days until the bride's parents or bed-making couple send the bride to the bridal chamber.
