Brief introduction of Kuiguang building

In order to celebrate the centenary of Guilin Middle School (1905-2005) and show off future generations, the school rebuilt Kuiguang Building from the end of 200/KLOC-0 to the beginning of 2002. When the old ceiling was demolished, the main beam of the roof was exposed, and it was written in big red letters "Gentleman's public building in the 19th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty" (built by a gentleman in the province on the auspicious day of the lunar calendar 1893). It can be seen that local celebrities and talents in Guilin helped students in the past.

Kuiguang Building was rebuilt this time. The wall and tile surface were treated, and two large columns were replaced, two reinforced concrete arch columns were poured under the main beam, and the second floor, ceiling, doors and windows, stairs and some decorations were replaced, so that the original objects were maintained and the original appearance was restored, and the technical treatment of termite prevention was carried out at the same time. Upstairs, in the middle of the original building, there is a plaque, about 4-5 feet long, and the inscription is engraved with the three characters "Kuiguang Building". This monument was destroyed at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in 1966. For this renovation, please ask Huang Yun's predecessors to rewrite the horizontal plaque of "Kuiguang Building".

Kuiguang Building is now used as a school history showroom and part of the reception room.
