Mr. Xia Yan once said, "Duff is a great patriot, and patriotism is the spiritual pillar of his life." Yu Dafu actively participated in various anti-imperialist and anti-Japanese organizations, engaged in anti-Japanese and national salvation propaganda activities in Shanghai, Wuhan and Fuzhou, and went to Taierzhuang to join the army. At the end of 1938, Yu Dafu was invited to run a newspaper in Singapore to engage in anti-Japanese and national salvation propaganda. After the fall of Xingzhou, he was exiled to Sumatra. Being proficient in Japanese, he was forced to work as a Japanese translator. During this period, he used his position to secretly rescue and protect a large number of exiled cultural friends, patriotic overseas Chinese leaders and local residents. 1945 On August 29th, at the age of 49, he disappeared in Sumatra. For engaging in anti-Japanese activities in Nanyang, 1945 was secretly killed by Japanese military and police in Sumatra, Indonesia on September 17. 1952 was approved by the central people's government and was regarded as a revolutionary martyr.
