What does the Bone Master do?

The most distinctive feature of burial in Guangdong is the second burial. According to their traditional custom, after the death of their loved ones, their bodies were buried in wooden coffins and then buried in the mountains near the countryside. After burial, only a stone is placed on the arch soil, and no stone tablet is erected, which is called a grave, a mountain grave or a grave. This is the first burial. After burial, stones are piled in front of the grave, and most of them need not be erected. Five to ten years after the first burial, when the soft tissues of the remains are completely decomposed, the coffins are dug on another day (mostly in autumn), the bones are picked up, washed with white wine, and then put into a pottery urn according to the human body structure, with feet under and heads above, commonly known as golden pagoda or golden poppy. This process is called (grasping bone). These people who specialize in bone colonization are commonly known as bone-holding masters.
