Taoism has a ritual of releasing people.

Secondly, Taoism pays attention to "choosing things and releasing them". Some animals have their own karma, and the evil path is inspired by themselves and cannot be saved by force. For example, professionally farmed animals are for people to eat or enjoy, and even if they are released, they cannot survive.

Third, Taoism stresses "release at any time". Many good believers rushed to buy released creatures on some fixed days, such as the first day and the fifteenth day, and were used by some vendors with ulterior motives. These days, they not only specialize in catching animals in the hope of selling them at a good price, but also increase the mortality rate of animals. This behavior was originally part of killing animals.

Therefore, Taoism does not advocate wanton release.
