July 15 "Orchid Festival", filial piety is fasting, which is extremely successful!

On the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, people call it the Mid-Autumn Festival. In traditional culture, there is a tradition of offering sacrifices in the wild and remembering ancestors. At the same time, July 15th is also the "Blue Festival" in the Buddhist calendar. If filial piety can be provided for fasting, all Buddhas will be happy and win a great victory!

Euglena basin, pronounced as (yú lán pén). Among them, "Magnolia" is transliterated in Sanskrit, meaning "suffering from hanging upside down", and the basin is a vessel for offering Buddha to monks and holding various offerings. Buddha said that it is difficult to repay parents' kindness, and the origin of Bonihara Festival is related to filial piety.

According to the Orchid Sutra, Mulian, one of the top ten disciples of Sakyamuni Buddha and regarded as the first magical power, missed her dead mother and observed her whereabouts with magical eyes when she settled in summer. He found that his mother had fallen into an evil path because of her career, and her throat was as small as a needle tip, making it difficult to eat. Seeing that the venerable one was heartbroken, he held a alms bowl and filled it with food to support his mother. However, before karma appeared, the food my mother ate in her mouth turned into charcoal fire, which burned all the way to her stomach.

He didn't understand what kind of evil deeds his mother had done in the past, so he asked the Buddha to enlighten him, and the Buddha immediately said the Bonism Sutra. His mother used to slander Buddha and monk, disbelieve in cause and effect, be greedy, and tease all beings, so she suffered bitter retribution. Although the venerable deity is the first and the filial piety is earth-shattering, the deity is no match for karma. Only by relying on the strength of ten monks and nuns can your mother stay away from evil.

The Buddha told the venerable Mu Guanglian that the 15th of July every year is the day when ten monks live in seclusion. After three months of hard work, the monks have made great achievements in practice, so this is also the "Happy Day of the Buddha". On this day, the children will set a hundred vegetarian meals and put them in a pot to support the top ten sages. If so, six relatives and their families can go out three ways when they are alive, and they will be free. If their parents are alive, they will be happy for a hundred years. Upon hearing this, the venerable master happily followed, and his mother got rid of it. This is the origin of the Bonihara Festival.

As the saying goes: "the tree wants to be quiet, but the wind will not stop." My son wants to raise, but he doesn't want to be close. " Filial piety is a matter of course and the last thing to wait for. Now that we know the cause and effect of Buddhism, wouldn't it be a pleasure for all Buddhists to remember to be respectful and filial to adoptive parents and give alms to ten Buddhists?
