How did the surname Luo come from?

Luo, one of China's surnames, originated from the descendants of "Eight Surnames of Zhu Rong" in history books. Zhu Rong's descendants are divided into eight surnames, namely, Ji, Dong, Peng, Bald, _, Cao and Zhu. In 690 BC, Luoguo (Luoshan, Henan Province) was destroyed by the State of Chu, and Guo Yan (Yanling, Henan Province) was established at the original site. The descendants of Roche gradually moved south, first to Zhijiang (now in the south of Hubei Province, Zhijiang County along the Yangtze River), and then to Guluo, Hunan Province at the weekend, so they took the country name "Luo" as their surname.

The earliest Luo family tree in the history of China is Luo (Cheng) during the reign of the King of Zhou Dynasty more than two thousand years ago.
