About the custom of moving.

(1) Before moving into the house (moving), you should prepare the following six daily necessities:

1 .meter: Fill a "rice bucket" with eight meters. Put a red envelope in the rice barrel, which contains paper money, tea leaves and nine copper coins.

2. Water: divide water into seven parts in a "bucket" (the water should be taken from the "old residence").

3. Chopsticks: Prepare a new set of chopsticks for everyone in the family.

6. Old stoves, pots and fans.

When moving, the above six daily necessities should be moved into the kitchen of the new house at the selected auspicious time, and other items can be moved into the new house. If you are afraid of acclimatization after moving, you can also bring a piece of soil and ginger from the old house into the new house. Those who want to take some rice and soil to travel abroad are heard to be quite effective in restraining acclimatization. Before moving out of the old house, you should leave an "old wallet" in the room and put five coins in it. Leave "two eggs" and "a red envelope (profit)" in the kitchen (the "red envelope" (profit) contains "cypress leaves" and a double-currency "paper money"). When the "last item" or "last person" wants to leave the old house, remember to sprinkle some rice in front of the old house before locking the door.

(2) Worship the foundation owner of the new house. After moving into the new house, it is customary to worship the foundation owner (Qi Zi) at dusk that afternoon. It is said that the owner of the foundation is a "land god" or a "house god", and everyone has it. Worship the foundation owner can keep the house safe. Or, it is said that the owner of the foundation is a house.

The offerings to Master Foundation are as follows:

1. Home cooking (commonly known as "simple vegetable rice"): a bowl of rice, a meat, a dish and a soup.

2. Three glasses of wine.

3. A pair of red candles.

4. Three sticks of incense.

5. "paper money" such as life-saving money, land money and land public money.

When the incense has burned more than one third, you can burn paper money (life money, cutting money, land money) at the door of the new house. After burning the paper money, collecting the offerings and worshipping the "basic owners", the ceremony was completed.

Fourth, the likes and dislikes of migrating (moving) folk customs.

People pray for auspicious signs at weddings, funerals and celebrations. Since ancient times, there have been some folk customs circulating. When I moved, I also had some.

Folklore likes and dislikes that should be noted:

1. Try to say something auspicious on the day of moving.

2. On the day of moving, don't cry, lose your temper and beat and scold your children.

Don't greet others when you move.

Don't take a nap on the day of moving, and don't take a nap in the new house, or you will get sick easily in the future.

On the night of moving, you should lie down for about five minutes before going to bed, and then get up to work, which means "you can get up after sleeping" (the same is true for ordinary children sleeping in a new bed, you should get up first, which means "you can get up after lying down"), otherwise you will get sick easily in the future.

6. On the day of moving, it is advisable to burn some boiling water in the new house and blow electric fans around the house in order to prosper Feng Shui.

7. In the evening, it is advisable to cook some dumplings and desserts for the whole family to show family reunion and sweetness.

8. Be careful not to move to the "fetal god" when moving. Try not to move when the woman at home is pregnant.

In case you have to move, let pregnant women leave the old house first, and everything moved in the old house must be swept with a new broom to avoid moving to the "fetal god".
