Revealing Puyi's Third Wife Tan Yuling: A Brief Introduction of Tan Yuling, the Last Imperial Concubine.
1937, Puyi was dissatisfied with Wanrong and went into limbo. In order to have an indispensable decoration and plaything, Tan Yuling, who was studying in Beijing Middle School at that time, was introduced by relatives to Changchun to marry Puyi and lived on the west side of Jixi Building. Puyi named her an auspicious aristocrat, when Puyi was 32 years old and Tan Yuling 17 years old. After Tan Yuling entered the palace, he had a good relationship with Puyi and was deeply loved. Puyi often asks her nephew, daughter-in-law and other female guests to accompany her. Tan Yuling is smart, docile and virtuous, and feels safe with others. But five years later, Tan Yuling, 22, passed away. The cause of Tan Yuling's death is still a mystery.
Tan Yuling, born in a noble family, was a Manchu aristocrat, whose original name was Tara. After the Revolution of 1911, he changed his surname to Tan according to the phonological relationship. At the beginning of 1937, when she was introduced to Puyi, she was only 17 years old and was studying in a middle school in Beijing.
From the photos collected by the Puppet Manchuria Palace Museum, we can clearly see what Tan Yuling looked like when she was a girlhood: a junior high school girl with a childish face stood in front of the moon in the garden, wearing a short-sleeved cheongsam popular in the 1930s, with a slight smile on her white face.
On the back of the photo is Puyi's own handwriting: My dearest Yuling. The font is neat and delicate.
1937, Puyi chose another victim, Tan Yuling, as a punishment for grace, and it was decorated with indispensable decorations.
Tan Yuling was only 17 years old and was studying in a middle school in Beijing. According to the ancestral system, the wives and concubines of the Qing emperor were divided into eight grades: queen, imperial concubine, imperial concubine, concubine, noble, constant servant and infinite. Yuling was made an auspicious nobleman and was the sixth wife of the emperor. After Tan Yuling entered the palace, Puyi ordered several rooms on the west side of the first floor of Jixi Building to be vacated for her use. In Tan Yuling's bedroom, there is a soft sofa bed for two people under the south window, with banana leaf curtains hanging in front of the bed, and a small table for banquet on the north wall. Elegant and generous layout.
After Tan Yuling entered the palace, he had a good relationship with Puyi and was deeply loved. Puyi often asks her nephew, daughter-in-law and other female guests to accompany her. Tan Yuling is smart and capable, docile and virtuous, and has a sense of security in dealing with people, which won Pu Yi's love. From 1937 to Tan Yuling's death in 1942, Tan Yuling and Puyi have always loved each other.
Puyi likes photography very much, and some people have made statistics according to the photos scattered in the palace. It is said that among thousands of photos, there are only 8 graceful faces, while Tan Yuling has as many as 33, which shows where Puyi's love lies. Puyi really liked Tan Yuling, and even after the emperor became a citizen, he took a photo of Yuling.
Her husband, Puyi, abandoned Aisingiorro Puyi (1906- 1967). His word is Haoran, which means that Mencius is good at cultivating my noble spirit. English name HenryPuYi, Manchu. The grandson of Prince Ix, the eldest son of Zai Feng. Guangxu, who succeeded to the throne after death, was the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty and the tenth emperor after entering the customs, suffering from male infertility. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he was transformed into a newcomer and died of kidney cancer at the age of 6 1. Cremation, the ashes were placed in the side room of Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in Beijing, moved to the main room under the direction of the Prime Minister, and then moved to Hualong Royal Cemetery.
The cause of death is a mystery. 1On August 3rd, 942, Tan Yuling fell ill and did not get better after treatment. Palace officials called Yoshioka Anzhi, then president of Changchun Municipal Hospital, to treat her. She died suddenly at the age of 22. Her death was a mystery at the time. Some people say it's typhoid fever, some people say it's cystitis, some people say it's a cold, some people say it's caused by inactive treatment, and some people say it's poisoning by taking the wrong medicine. At this point, there are also rumors about the murderer's motives and so on. Researcher Ellis believes that all kinds of statements can only be guesses. Now it seems to be an unsolved case in history!
However, Puyi always thought that the Japanese killed Tan Yuling, which is what Puyi said when he came out for trial in the Far East Military Court: He kept silent about Tan Yuling's death and kept it in his heart. It was not until August 1946 19 that Puyi made a second testimony at the International Military Tribunal in Tokyo, Japan. As he spoke, his face suddenly showed a sad look and his tone softened. He paused and said painfully, "My beloved wife was killed by Lieutenant General Yoshioka." . The wife he refers to is Tan Yuling. Hearing this, the whole audience was silent. Puyi said: My wife was twenty-three years old, and we were very harmonious. She often tells me that we must be patient now and wait until the day of freedom comes before we can recapture Manchuria from the Japanese. However, she was killed by the Japanese! At this point, Puyi's tone changed from sadness to anger. He knocked on the counter with his hand and shouted, I know who did it, that is, Lieutenant General Yoshioka. Puyi's remarks shocked four people. Many years later, when Pu Yi wrote My First Half Life, she also insisted that the cause of her death was still a mystery to me. According to the diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine, her illness is typhoid, but it is not terminal. Later, my doctor, Huang Zi, introduced Japanese doctors in the municipal hospital for treatment. Yoshioka then said he would take care of her, and made an exception and moved to Qin Minlou in the palace. In this way, under the supervision of Yoshioka, Japanese doctors treated Tan Yuling, only to find that she died suddenly the next day.
Tan Yuling's funeral was very grand, and everyone in Changchun knew it. At this time, many ordinary people knew that the emperor had received such a noble person.
After Tan Yuling's death, Puyi posthumously awarded Tan Yuling as a virtuous princess, and held a ceremony on an auspicious day, personally wrote an imperial edict and conferred the title of Tan Yuling as a virtuous princess. Zai Tao came from Beijing to preside over the funeral, and Puyi ordered his uncle, Yu Yi, Heng Run, Run Liang, Zhao Yufu and other family members and relatives to be in Lingqian Dai Xiao.
The whole funeral was royal. For example, the procession during relocation is: escort (two-way), Lama and monk, book pavilion, pavilion, giver (two-way), shadow umbrella, capital tray (two-way), lantern (two-way), Sheng Da (two-way escort), court giver (two-way) and escort. Tens of thousands of Changchun people watched the grand occasion of the relocation, and most of the coffin bearers were burly Cangzhou people in Hebei Province. Put a bunch of Yinyang and two bowls of white wine on the bar in front. In front of it, a man knocked on the wooden fish to lead the way, and dozens of spirit bearers walked step by step without confusion. So the silver on the front bumper does not come loose, and the white wine does not spill.
After Tan Yuling's death, he stopped at Changchun Xuan in Xiyuan and moved to prajna temple on September 2nd, where he lived until the collapse of the Puppet Manchukuo. This long-term sacrifice is called temporary sacrifice. Puyi did not forget Tan Yuling's body in prajna temple, Changchun, even after he was captured. Later, it was not until he fled to Chestnut and was escorted by the Soviet Red Army that he realized that he could not protect Tan Yuling's body. He ordered his men to cremate Tan Yuling's body.
The souvenir he has always kept is the photo mentioned at the beginning of this article with my dearest jade age written on the back, which he has always kept in his wallet.
The ashes returned to their original places on 1945 10. After Tan Yuling's body was cremated, the ashes were transported back to Beijing and placed in Xiaodongfang, the residence of Puxiunan official residence. After Pu Yi was pardoned, he took Tan Yuling's urn home.
Later, Puyi remarried. Puyi showed Tan's photo to his then wife Li, but didn't tell her about the ashes. On one occasion, Li saw a wooden box in Puyi's small room where sundries were stored, and asked Puyi what it was. Puyi told her that it was Tan Yuling's ashes. Later, Li often dreamed, and sometimes he was scared out in a cold sweat and even the sheets were wet. Puyi decided to give Tan Yuling's urn to my nephew Xiao Rui.
During 1994, Puyi's nephew Aisingiorro Youfulunoni moved to a new house. After careful consideration, relevant units and departments also have the desire to collect Tan Yuling ashes. After many considerations, Youfulunoni finally stored Tan Yuling's ashes in the palace in Changchun, his hometown where he lived in Tan Yuling for five years. Now, the ashes of the Puppet Manchukuo Palace Museum and Tan Yuling have been carefully collected.
1967 The last emperor ended his legendary life and his ashes were placed in Babaoshan. Puyi intended to bury Tan Yuling's ashes with his own death, but the environment at that time could not allow Tan Yuling and Puyi to be together.
On September 2, 2006, according to Puyi's wishes, people in Aisingiorro took back Tan Yuling's ashes stored in Changchun Puppet Manchu Palace and buried them with Puyi in Hualong Royal Cemetery in Yixian County, Hebei Province. Tan Yuling, the last imperial concubine, finally died with her husband (the last emperor Puyi) who had been away for 64 years.
