Yanji People's Park is adjacent to Yanbian University and located on the Yan Jia River in the northwest of Yanji City. This park has a long history, towering old trees, blooming flowers and beautiful mountains, water, pavilions, platforms and pavilions. There is a zoo in Yanji People's Park, which keeps precious animals such as Siberian tiger, sika deer, peacock and white swan.

People's Park Playground has all kinds of amusement facilities. There is a beautiful pine forest on the north side of the park, and pavilions are built on the small piers protruding from the forest. Yanji city is far-sighted and has a panoramic view. People's Park is the most popular comprehensive amusement place in Yanji.

Yanji Park was founded in the thirty-third year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1909). It was put forward by border inspector Wu Luzhen during his inspection in Yanji. It has a history of one hundred years. During the Republic of China, the Commercial Bureau often engaged in foreign affairs activities here, so it was also called "Commercial Bureau Park". 1953 was renamed Yanji People's Park (Yanji Park for short).

After a hundred years of construction, the park is shaded by trees, with old pine trees, lush green grass and flowers, as well as lions roaring and tigers roaring and birds singing.

The first phase renovation project of People's Park started on August 5, 2008 and was completed on October 30, the same year. The transformation includes three parts: road engineering, greening landscape engineering and sculpture engineering. Among them, the asphalt concrete road is 2 1 1,000 square meters, the colored road is 7,500 square meters, 260 trees are planted and the lawn is 72,000 square meters. Protect and repair the original ancient buildings in the park, and demolish 40 dilapidated houses and stalls for greening. New 4000 square meters wooden platform and plank road, new landscape pavilion and Changbai fairy sculpture.

In order to further improve the park environment and various supporting facilities of Yuanshan Park, the second phase of the park renovation project started on April 15, 2008. The second phase reconstruction includes two parts: greening landscape project and cage house reconstruction project. Greening landscape engineering, planting 5 10 trees, paving 42,000m2 lawns, building screen platforms 1 piece, building wooden platforms and plank roads of 2,800m2, installing 76 seats, installing 22 monitoring points, installing street lamps 16, and placing garbage bins 100. The cage reconstruction project will build new herbivore cages, and transform peacock cages, raptor cages and large bird cages.

Now Yanji People's Park is really brand-new. This is a weekend holiday. The park is thriving, sunny, beautiful and full of tourists. It coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, and we are already halfway through. So why not enjoy it?
