It is said that Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a military commander in the 6th century, wrote a short poem when he died.

The general meaning is;

My whole life is like a drop of dew, and now everything in Osaka feels like a dream.

Wave speed (なにわ) is the old name of Osaka. Toyotomi Hideyoshi was born as a farmer (some scholars say he was born as a samurai). Later, he established the meritorious military service and made great achievements in Osaka. However, all this seems to be a dream before death.
