Introduction to World Development Publicity Day
Every year, 65438+1October 24th is World Development Information Day, or World Development Information Day, which was determined by the United Nations General Assembly on February 29th, 1972.
Development history
1972, the General Assembly decided to establish World Development Publicity Day, with the purpose of drawing the attention of world public opinion to development problems and the necessity of strengthening international cooperation to solve these problems (resolution 3038(XXVII)). The General Assembly decided that this day should, in principle, be the same as United Nations Day in 65438124 October, which was also the day when 1970 adopted the International Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Decade.
The General Assembly believes that improving news dissemination and public opinion mobilization, especially among young people, can make all parties pay more attention to various issues of development, thus promoting international development cooperation.
