What are the characteristics of Wall's drama?

In 1980s, the singing form of Hua 'er has developed into Hua 'er musical. Huaer Opera is popular in Xihaigu area and Yinchuan area of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, also known as "Huaer Opera" and "Huaer Song and Dance Opera", and it is named because its music mainly comes from the Hui folk song Huaer in the southern mountainous area of Ningxia.

Huaer music is sonorous, long and hearty, with distinctive national style and local characteristics. It not only has colorful musical images, but also has rich literary contents reflecting life, love, current affairs and labor, and improvises with artistic techniques such as comparison, xing and fu.

Flowers are rich in content, mostly love songs, but also show the life of Hui people. Generally, it is four or six sentences. The lyrics are improvisational and colloquial, and slang and common words are not avoided.

The outstanding features of Flower are vivid sentence contrast, beautiful words and strict rules. There are more than 100 kinds of music themes, and the melody, rhythm and singing all have unique styles.

Hua 'er Opera is a comprehensive stage play that combines song, dance and drama. Flowers are mainly improvisational folk songs, and the tunes of Hehuang flowers can be divided into fast and slow tunes. There is less fast-paced interlude, and the drawl is also reduced accordingly, which is more concise and compact. The slow tone is soft and long, and the lining is mostly used to adjust the head, middle and tail. Wide range, many ups and downs, high-pitched singing with falsetto.

The lyrics of the script are based on the melody of Wall, citing the singing forms of northwest local folk songs such as Xintianyou and the rhetorical methods of China classical poems such as antithesis. The lyrics of Huaer Opera are mostly figures of speech, and there are many words in paragraphs, and there are also function words such as "zhe, ma, ya, ha, ah" as lining words.

The original melody of flowers is the main tone of flower drama. When singing, the question-and-answer mode is often adopted, in which the first, second, third and fourth sentences correspond in two paragraphs, usually the first half and the second half, that is, the third and fourth sentences are the best.

In the two paragraphs, the upper sentence is mostly three, three or three sentences, and the lower sentence is mostly three, three or two sentences; And generally the last sentence ends with a monosyllabic word, but the next sentence must end with a disyllabic word. Hehuang Huaer's lyrics are usually a kind of metrical poem with monosyllabic and disyllabic interweaving and even and odd sentences appearing alternately. Nian Bai Li uses the dialect of Liupanshan area.

Wall's lyrics mainly have two forms in structure, one is called "running from head to tail", which is generally divided into two paragraphs according to a set of four sentences, such as the aria in "Golden Rooster Girl":

The four seasons, the sun and the moon come and go, can't compare with the mother's fatigue.

The stream winds endlessly, like mother's sweat.

The other is called "broken waist", which is also a group of four sentences, but there is a half sentence between the first sentence and the second sentence or between the third sentence and the fourth sentence in the first and last sentence, thus forming a long and short sentence pattern consisting of five or six sentences. Such as the aria in Mansour:

Go up. The mountain looks at the East China Sea. It sparkles. What a beautiful ribbon. Tell it to take it to the white clouds. Mansour will wear it in the waves.

Dance is an important means of expression of Hua 'er Opera, which is mainly based on Hui folk dance movements, and on this basis, it has widely absorbed and integrated other dance forms such as Dongxiang, Uygur and Arab dances.

In addition to absorbing some movements from the Hui Dance Banquet Song, we also look for the art of dancing in the daily customs of various ethnic groups, such as worshipping and watching tiles, and extract different dance languages to express it. In some places, some moves of Xingyiquan, a traditional folk martial art of Hui nationality, have been boldly borrowed.

Yinchuan Art Troupe adapted the folk narrative poem Sister Marco Gadou with coloratura for the first time, and it was officially staged. Xiji County Art Troupe created and performed Mansour and Golden Rooster Girl.

The performance of "Golden Rooster Girl" is based on traditional coloratura, with traditional percussion music, and the venue is mainly accompanied by Banhu and Gao Hu; Accompaniment instruments in the field of martial arts include Bangzi, Tanggu and Drum Board. Daobai adopts the form of rhyme, which changes the whole performance style to drama and enriches the performance ability.

Linxia is the hometown of flowers. Flowers have a long history and are well-known at home and abroad. Linxia City Cultural Bureau has specially set up the Hua 'er Drama Creation Group. They went deep into life, collected a lot of materials, and created a number of better literary scripts of Hua 'er Opera, such as Gong Xi Fa Cai, Legend of Silo Tree, Chatting with Magpies, Gahei in Milla, Gua Yuan Qing, Hua 'er Case and so on.

In order to participate in the performance in the whole province, Linxia Cultural Bureau decided to rewrite the Flower Case. They concentrated their manpower and revised the manuscript. As soon as the script came out, it was even more "revenge in the sea of flowers."

The Song and Dance Troupe of Linxia Autonomous Prefecture premiered the play, and put Hua 'er on the stage in the form of a large-scale drama for the first time, which marked Linxia Autonomous Prefecture's progress towards a new drama, which was of epoch-making significance.

Asimu, a long-term worker, is famous in Hua Dan. He delivered goods from Sichuan for the landlord Hai Zhankui and fell in love with his daughter Haidia. Hafulu, the housekeeper, is Hai Zhankui's nephew, trying to destroy Ah's love and marry Haidia.

Hai Zhankui wanted to marry Haidia to a rich man in the city, which aroused the resentment of the housekeeper Havelow. He tied Asimu in the yard, stabbed Hai Zhankui with Asimu's broadsword, framed Asimu and killed him, and escorted Asimu to the county government and sentenced him to death.

Asimu refused to admit killing Hai, and proposed to meet Haidia at the flower party before his death to explain his grievances. The magistrate of a county is a flower fan. He had already heard about Asimu's reputation, so he promised him.

The maid who saw the truth when she killed Hai Zhankui took the opportunity to reveal the truth to Haidia. At the flower party, Shanghai Diya complained to the magistrate of a county and stated the real situation. Hafulu and other real criminals were detained, and Asimu was acquitted.

Revenge of Flowers, with its rich national style, beautiful singing, touching stories, unique dance, peculiar customs and humorous language, was fully affirmed by many dramatists and artists during its performance in Beijing.

Major newspapers in the capital have published special articles to comment on the grand occasion and achievements of the play. The famous writer Wang Meng pointed out:

The story, music, singing, singing and dancing of Revenge of the Flowers are all folk, with particularly strong national characteristics, giving the audience in the capital a refreshing feeling.

"Flowers are full of buildings, and wonderful Beijing is famous." It is a true portrayal of the sensation of Hua 'er Opera in Beijing.

Huajian Collection has turned a new page in Linxia Autonomous Prefecture's national drama and opened up a brilliant road for the development of Linxia Autonomous Prefecture's drama.

Linxia Cultural Bureau also created and staged a number of well-known large-scale flower dramas, such as Peony Flower Moon, Snow Land Love, and Boundless Fog Sea. They also created a large-scale flower drama "Moonlight Mirror" based on the beautiful folklore of Dongxiang nationality, which was widely welcomed.
