The time to worship the tail teeth is usually four or five o'clock in the afternoon on December 16 of the lunar calendar. On this day, we should worship landowners and foundation owners.

The altar of the land god is generally placed in front of the land god, and the offerings can be prepared by sacrificial ceremonies (three sacrifices) and four fruits. In addition, the festival offerings are also "spring rolls", that is, wet cakes-(bean sprouts, carrots, shredded bamboo shoots, dried bean curd, shredded pork, coriander, etc.). , and then wrapped in peanut powder, so made a delicious spring rolls).

In indoor worship, a basic table must be set at the door or back door, and the offerings should be prepared in a five-flavored bowl.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve is the last day of the lunar calendar every year. Because it takes a long time to prepare for the New Year, the worship time often begins in the morning.

Jade Emperor-The altar is divided into a top table and a bottom table (or a front table and a back table). It is located under the furnace of Sanjie Palace or in the atrium facing the sky. It uses top gold, Taiji gold, Tianjin basin gold, high money and firecrackers. The top table is prepared with six vegetarian dishes, three bundles of noodles, fruits (especially oranges, some of which will be placed in orange towers), rice cakes, hair and firecrackers.

Gods-On the altar in front of the shrine, we use longevity money, cutting money and land money to worship in circles with the offerings of the Jade Emperor God. Then, we offer an altar with a pair of "spring flowers" to show that there is more than one year, and three bundles of noodles to show longevity.

Ancestors-placed on the altar in front of the ancestral tablet, using longevity gold and cutting gold and silver paper, you can use the previous offerings, but you need to cut the sacrificial ceremony in advance and cook more dishes and bowls to worship.

Bed mother-a small table is set on the bed or at the head of the bed. Bed mother clothes and gold are used, and the offerings can be spring rice and sesame chicken wine.

The basic table is set at the door or back door to pay homage to the church, made of gold and silver paper, and the offerings can be prepared with five-flavored bowls and rice cakes.

Brother Hao's first sacrifice table is set at the door for external worship, which is made of scriptures and silver paper, and can use five-flavored bowls and rice cakes.

Ryan (Grade One)

In heavenly stems and earthly branches, the opening time is different every year. In the early morning of the first day, usually after the New Year's Eve, I will go to bed after worshipping God at midnight. The time for ancestor worship is probably at noon on the first day of New Year's Day.

Goddess-altar can be set in front of the Goddess Temple (Ma Gong Dian). The square table is surrounded by a skirt embroidered with auspicious patterns, and red or square immortals will be hung at the door. Lights will be lit in the hall and candles will be lit on the goddess' table. Flowers can be served, as well as seasonal offerings, such as orange tower (oranges piled in a tower shape), rice cake (sweet cake-meaning rising year by year), radish cake, taro cake, hair cake (meaning making a fortune) and perennial rice. Inserting "spring flowers" into cakes and rice will increase the surplus of the Spring Festival and make you rich. There are three bundles of noodles tied with red paper, three cups of green tea, as well as sweet tea (such as jujube tea) and sweet materials (such as sweet peanut kernels, dates, winter melon candy, peanut candy and other candy offerings) in front of the incense burner. In addition, some believers will offer three sacrifices (pork, chicken and fish) to worship; Some families also worship rice cakes and twelve bowls of vegetables (such as peanuts, peas, dried beans, bean bags, long vegetables, spinach, etc.). ), offer longevity gold, cut gold and set off firecrackers, set off firecrackers after burning the gold, and then sprinkle tea wine on the paper ash.

Ancestors-the table offering is the same as that of God, so prepare seven cups of wine, seven bowls, seven pairs of chopsticks, plus offerings for worshipping God. Among them, the ceremony can be repeated, but dishes (vegetables) can be added. Some vegetables will use spinach and garlic with roots and tails. Spinach adopts its Minnan language meaning "flying", which means flying and flourishing, while garlic with beard adopts its shape. Send birthday gold, gold, silver paper, etc. As it is during the Chinese New Year, it is better to prepare more gold and silver paper than the usual worship day.

The fourth day of the first month is the day of receiving God. As the saying goes, "Send God early and receive God late", so the time to receive God generally begins near noon. There is an altar in front of the hall of the gods. The offerings are mainly sacrificial vessels (three sacrifices: pork, chicken and fish), four fruits (such as oranges, apples, cantaloupes and grapes), wine, vegetables, bowls and sweeteners (such as peanuts, red dates, candied wax gourd and candied peanuts). Shou Jin, Mo Jin and Ma Jia are used to prepare Ma Jia. Because the magic generals who are responsible for welcoming and protecting the return of the gods are rewarded, Ma Jia is usually printed with armor, bows and arrows, knives, horses and grooms.

Between the fifth and twentieth day of the first lunar month, businessmen choose their own auspicious days to greet the god of wealth, and the time for worship is in the morning. Generally, merchants have installed the god of wealth, so the place of worship is first placed on the altar in front of the god of wealth. If it is a small shrine with a high height, an additional altar can be placed under the shrine. In addition, another big altar will be set near the door of the shop or factory to welcome the god of wealth. Provide rich sacrifices (pork, chicken, fish) and fruits. Shoujin, grinding gold and firecrackers are the main products. After the worship, firecrackers will be set off to exorcise evil spirits and congratulations on the opening.

Day 9 (Worship of the Gods)

Generally, the time of worship can start from around midnight (1 1 p.m. to the next morning 1 p.m.) and last until 7: 00 a.m. the next morning. However, it is said that the earlier you worship God, the more sincere you are. In areas where the belief in God prevails, some believers will worship God carefully at home in the middle of the night, and then go to a nearby temple to worship incense.

Worship can be divided into two categories:

First, if there is a hanging stove in the main hall at home, you can set up an altar in the Dagong stove outside the door to welcome the sky.

Second, if there is no sky furnace at home, you can set the god table at the main entrance or in the atrium facing the sky.

The table supply is special, and it is necessary to set a top table and a bottom table (or front and back tables). Generally, a square table is raised with a long bench or a low stool, and four stacks of longevity gold are placed at the foot of the square table (the head of the gold paper should face the door, just like the direction when people worship God). This is the top table, and a sacrificial table is placed in front of it. This is the bottom table. There is an auspicious pattern in front of the top platform, and green sugarcane is tied on both sides of the top platform. Two sugarcane heads and tails are tied together with red lines, and high money (also called long money) can be hung at both ends and on both sides. Prepare three or five celestial seats (lamp holders) representing providence to be placed in the middle of the top table, and the incense burner to be placed in the center. Candlesticks are prepared on both sides of the stove.

Something offered

The top table is dedicated to the noblest god, mainly vegetarian. Prepare a pair of flowers, light a pair of candles, put three cups in front of the incense burner, pour green tea, and serve vegetarian food. One plate is tied with three bundles of flour thread with red paper (you can also cook three bowls with one brown sugar in each bowl), five kinds of fruits (such as oranges, apples, cantaloupes, sugar cane, bananas and other fruits) and six kinds of fasting (such as gold needles).

The next table is dedicated to the subordinate gods of God, so it is mainly meat such as five animals. The offerings are five animals (such as whole chicken, whole duck, whole fish, whole pig and whole sheep), or fish eggs, pork or pig bellies and pigs can be cooked; In addition, there are red turtle shells and sweet materials (such as rice dates and sweet cakes).

The gold paper dedicated to God is mainly God Gold, including Top Gold, Taiji Gold, Tianjin Gold, Pot Gold, Gao Qian (Dragon Money) and so on. Among them, Gao Qian can be torn into strips and hung on the sugar cane beside the top table, or at the sacrificial ceremony of whole sheep and pigs, which is a tribute with decorative function.

Yuanxiao (15th)

Every year, on the 15th day of the first lunar month, that is, Lantern Festival, people will worship the celestial officials at midnight on that day, and worship the gods, ancestors and basic owners during the day, and some believers will especially worship their mother in bed again.
