Every Christmas, monks and secular believers burn incense and candles and worship devoutly. There are ancestral temples in temples in China, especially in Zen temples after the Tang Dynasty. This is the busiest day of the year for the owner of the ancestral temple. In the upper room, Zen chairs, strokes, rafters and vestments are placed, and in the lower room, chairs, scriptures, incense sticks and candle shafts are placed.

After the bell rang at dusk, the monks gathered in the ancestral temple to recite the scriptures, and the monks and servants of the whole temple worshipped the Dharma statue in succession. This is the second ancestor worship. The third ancestor worship was after the morning class on the fifth day of October. The bell rang three times, and the monks went to the ancestral temple again. The abbot still served incense, soup, porridge and tea first, while Na Wei sang "Manet Xiangyun Covers Bodhisattva Mahasa" three times, and the monks were harmonious three times; I read the Shurangama Sutra again, and then read 14 times, namely, the Food Changing Mantra, the Manna Mantra and the General Prayer Mantra three times each. Finally, Na Wei described the great achievements of the founder of Dharma. The monks in the whole temple made three obeisances to the founder, and the ancestor worship ceremony ended.
