All beings in the nine dharma circles, whether entangled by internal physical and mental diseases, troubled by troubles, persecuted by external personnel, and suffering unexpectedly; Whether it is physical, psychological, career, personnel, or even intelligence, Bodhi is progressive. If he wants something, but he can recite the name of the Bodhisattva wholeheartedly, the Bodhisattva will see it with a thousand eyes and protect it with a thousand hands, and he will be happy and satisfied.

Hokkekyo? Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Pumenpin said, "All living beings are forced by infinite hardships. Guanyin has wonderful wisdom and can save the suffering of the world. Full of magical power, it is convenient to cultivate wisdom widely. Ten countries have no brakes and don't show up. All kinds of bad tastes, hell ghosts and beasts, life and death, gradually understand. There is another cloud: "The lawsuit leads to official positions and fears the army; When you read the power of Guanyin, all grievances will be dispelled. Guanyin Bodhisattva's wonderful sound and tidal Sanskrit sound are better than another world sound, so read them often. Don't be suspicious, your view of the world is pure and sacred, and you can rely on it in times of crisis. You have all merits, you are kind to all beings, and you are blessed in the sea. 」

In the Shurangama Sutra, avalokitesvara said, "My roots are deep, my ears are wonderful, and my body and mind are subtle, so that all living beings can hold my name, like a prince holding 6.2 billion Ganges sand, and they are blessed." In Hokkekyo, Shi Zun also told the Bodhisattva endless meaning: "If someone gets the name of 6.2 billion Ganges Bodhisattva and provides food, clothing, quilts, medicine and even the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva for a while, it will be a blessing for both of them, just like the robbery of Zimoru, which is endless. 」

In the mantra sutra of Buddha's Eleven Faces of Avalokitesvara, Guanyin Bodhisattva said, "Dear Buddha, the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva is very ugly. If there is a person with the name of 10 trillion Buddha or a person with the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, they are all blessed, and they are all the same. Another cloud said, "The Buddha said that all sentient beings, if they work diligently day and night and call my name, will get the land. If they appear, they will have no worries, obstacles, fears and three-industry crimes. If you meet someone, follow this teaching and practice Buddhism, you will know that it is a person, and you will get the three bodhicitta of Arntiero, such as in the palm of your hand. "The Buddha also said to Ananda in the Secret Sutra of the Thousand Eyes Bodhisattva:" But if you call your name often, you will be rewarded with 6.2 billion Ganges sands. Besides, sincere support is fun. 」

Because Guanyin Bodhisattva, whether practicing on the land or profiting from the fruit, is based on the spirit of great compassion, caring for all beings equally and doing endless relief work; It is not only compassion, but also great compassion. So compassion is avalokitesvara's wish, compassion is avalokitesvara's virtue and compassion, and it is also avalokitesvara's special merit. Guanyin Bodhisattva, driven by infinite compassion, once saved the suffering of infinite beings and achieved the cause of infinite beings. Anyone who claims to recite the name of the Bodhisattva has the same merits as Prince Shafa who claims to support 6.2 billion Ganges, and Tathagata who claims to support 6.2 billion Ganges.

In today's world, human suffering and disasters are frequent, and the mercy of Guanyin Bodhisattva is urgently needed. If everyone can recite the holy name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, everyone can learn from Guanyin Bodhisattva's great compassion, everyone can carry forward the spirit of Guanyin Bodhisattva's seeking for sound to save suffering, equality and happiness, and make themselves and others become modern Guanyin with great compassion, which will naturally melt the hatred between people, stop the struggle between people, save the misfortune of human beings all over the world and give them happiness in life and soul! Bodhisattva Yin Shi is the most diligent, diligent and unwilling to rest. He is willing to save all sentient beings all day long, not afraid of hard work and difficulties, and is used by all sentient beings, which can be said to be the busiest bodhisattva; He is not a lazy bodhisattva, not a happy and rested bodhisattva, but the most diligent bodhisattva. He saved several people with one hand; With two hands, saving people is limited, so he needs thousands of hands and eyes to save all beings in the world; A thousand eyes can take care of all beings in the world, and all the beings he takes care of are suffering beings; The sentient beings he saved are also sentient beings in disaster.

The "view" of Guanyin Bodhisattva is to watch. See what? See the world. What is it? Sound. Views are intelligence that can be viewed; The world is the field of vision. View is "can view", the world is "view", and all beings in the world view it. When all beings are in trouble, they think of it. Who do you have in mind? Think of the great loving father and mother. Who is the great and merciful heavenly father? Guanyin Bodhisattva Who is the mother of mercy and compassion? How did Guanyin Bodhisattva come up with it? He read, "There is no avalokitesvara in the south, and there is no avalokitesvara in the south, …". "As soon as I read" There is no Guanyin Bodhisattva in the South ",Guanyin Bodhisattva listened with a thousand eyes and wisdom from heaven. So I saved this sentient being with my dexterous hand. Because all beings are not separated from each other and have disasters, all beings in Zimbabwe have disasters at the same time; At the same time, there are all sentient beings who call themselves "Guanyin Bodhisattva" in Zimoru. At the same time, they are relieved and happy. Because of this, it is called avalokitesvara with thousands of hands and eyes.

Bodhisattva is to help others. If you can help others, you are a bodhisattva; If I can help people, I am also a bodhisattva. If you don't help others, you are Luo Cha; I don't help others. I'm Luo Cha, too. Luo Cha and avalokitesvara are just the opposite. Look at the ghost girl in Luo Cha, who is also very beautiful, similar to Guanyin Bodhisattva; But Luo Cha ghost girl is selfish. The difference is that one only knows self-interest, not benefiting others; A person only knows how to benefit others, but he doesn't know how to benefit himself. Only the opposite, so avalokitesvara looks perfect, rogue looks good, but his heart is different, which is the difference between this concept and this place.

So if you want to learn Guanyin, you must help others and benefit others. If we say, "I don't have any power. First, I have no money. Second, I cannot teach Buddhism. How can I benefit others? " Now I tell you: "A compassionate mouth is a convenient tongue. It is good to have money or not." Merciful mouth, the mouth should be merciful and not curse. Convenient tongue, tongue should be convenient tongue. Convenient tongue, not all right and wrong. If people have opinions, you can talk about peace, reconcile the struggles in the world and reconcile the wars in the world at your convenience. These are all convenient words. Money can be virtuous without money, money can be virtuous, and no money can be virtuous. Of course, it's better if you have money. If you have no money, you don't have to worry, and you don't have to say, "I am poor, how can I do merit?" Doing merit is kindness, doing good deeds and being a good person!

Thousands of hands and eyes-how can there be thousands of hands? This is the embodiment of Wade, which is proved by the practice of reciting the great compassion mantra.

Let's say the mantra of compassion. Don't read so easily, so simply. The words "great compassion curse" can only be satisfied if they are deeply rooted in the good roots of the past. If there are no good roots in the past-not only good roots, but also deep roots-don't say "great compassion mantra", even the word "great compassion mantra" can't be heard. Therefore, "I can't even hear the name, let alone see it." Besides, it's not easy for you to read it and recite it. It can be said that "disaster comes from the mouth", and it is not easy to encounter hundreds of robberies, thousands of robberies and thousands of robberies.

We are now deeply rooted in the past, so we can smell the name of the Great Compassion Mantra, learn and recite the wonderful chapters of the Great Compassion Mantra, and we can recite the Great Compassion Mantra without using scriptures. These are all great good roots and incredible seeds that I met in the past.

Therefore, people who come to listen to the great compassion mantra today have good roots. Think about it: How many people in this world have not heard of the name "Mercy Curse"? In all of San Francisco, can more than 500 people have heard of the name "Mercy Curse"? I don't believe there is. What's the population of San Francisco? How many people in the world have good roots? Therefore, since we can hear the name of the great compassion mantra, we should all have a happy heart, a happy heart and a painstaking heart! It's not easy for you to encounter the great compassion curse! When you encounter the great compassion curse, remember not to let go easily!

This time, it is incredible to explain the Great Compassion! Because a few months ago, when the Diamond Sutra was about to be completed, the protectors of Buddhist lecture halls, Guo Di, Guo Ning and Guo Qian, studied and wanted to listen to this great compassion sutra. Why? Because since last year, the Buddhist lecture hall has taught the secret method of "forty second-hand eyes" every week; This secret method is not only a secret recipe, but I don't preach it at all. Because I came to the United States, I want to pass this secret law on to you well-established Americans; So last year, I began to teach forty second-hand subtle and incredible methods. But I didn't go anywhere and say, "Ah! This is the secret method, I won't tell you. " I think this is a secret law, but for people; To whom? People who must convert to Sambo and believe in Buddhism.

After these 40 second-hand books were handed down, several people became interested in The Sutra of Great Compassion and wanted to know the significance of these 40 second-hand books. So it was initiated by Cody lay. Please tell us about this great compassion. At that time, I saw that these people were sincere and agreed. But after the Diamond Sutra, I continued to talk about the Heart Sutra. Although the Heart Sutra is only over 200 words, it has been spoken for two or three months. But these two or three months, only Sunday, not every day; If you talk every day, you can finish it in about a month or half a month. Now that the Heart Sutra is finished, let's talk about the Great Compassion Sutra.

This classic can be said that most of you have never heard of it; Not only have you never heard of it, but people in China have rarely heard of it. It is not easy and rare for people in China to understand the meaning of this passage after listening to it.

So, now I'm going to tell you the classic of the great compassion mantra. Everyone should clean up the rubbish in his head first-don't be so paranoid, greedy and infatuated. Clean up those insatiable, insatiable and stupid rubbish first, that is, clean up everyone's "feces." Throw all your unclean things outside, and then fill them with nectar. This is the most important thing. Only in this way can you gain the power of this method cleanly.

Now talking about "a thousand hands and a thousand eyes", some people say, "Only by cultivating great compassion for Dalagni can we get a thousand hands and a thousand eyes. What are these thousands of hands and eyes for? Each of us has two hands and two eyes, which is very good. Two hands can hold things, and two eyes can see things. What is the use of having so many eyes? Why do you need so many hands? Now is the era of science, so much hand research is useless; It's no use having so many eyes. Then if you go too far, you don't need to practice the great compassion method.

Let me explain "thousand eyes" first. You have two eyes, but you can't see anything if you close them; You have to open it to see it. If there are thousands of eyes, close this eye and have a rest. Open your eyes and change it. Look! Isn't this a wonderful method? You close this eye to have a rest, and then open two eyes, not only two eyes, but also as many as 1000 eyes.

These 1000 eyes, that is, the so-called "seeing with 1000 eyes", can only see more than ten or twenty miles with our eyes. If we can see a hundred miles with a telescope, we may not see far. You have thousands of eyes, so what? You can see thyme, Wan Li and Wan Li, and you can know without watching TV, "Oh! Two astronauts are walking on the moon. Do you think this is great? Now you have to borrow TV to see the people on the moon; If you have 1000 eyes, you can see without TV. Not only do you not need a TV, you don't need to install an antenna, and you don't need to pay. Ah! How many things have been saved! Do you think it's bad to have 1000 eyes? Now you know, right?

Not only that, you have thousands of eyes, you can see the back in front and the front in the back. Therefore, Lao Xu's poem says, "Catch a kite with your cheeks behind your head, and catch flying bear with your eyes at the top door. At the back of the brain, you can see your cheeks with your eyes. You can't see your face; But if you have a thousand eyes, you can see the front from behind; You can see the back in front, and you can also see the face. Not only can you see your face, but you can also see what's in your stomach. How many slackers are there? How many dead bugs are there? You can tell at a glance. Outside can see inside, inside can see outside, just like a glass mirror. We can see the outer wall inside the glass. If you have 1000 eyes, your stomach is like glass. The glass belly is exquisite and transparent, inside and outside, and there is no barrier; You can see what is inside. What is your heart like? What do you want to say in your stomach? Look with your eyes, oh! How does the machine inside you work? What are you going to say? Want to have an idea? You can tell at a glance. Do you want a thousand eyes? Now that you know, do you still think you have two eyes? I'm afraid I don't know enough now. Thousands of eyes have such wonderful use!

The same is true of Thousand Hands. You can take things with your hands. Never mind. Now let's talk about withdrawing money. You have two hands, and you can take100000. If I have 1000 hands, I can hold 10 million yuan in my hand. You can't take that much, and I can't take that much. Do you think this is great? For example, how many apples can you take by yourself? If you have a thousand hands, take a thousand apples; You have two hands. You can take whatever you want. You can only take two. Look! Is this useful? However, this is not just a small use. It's not like a child fighting for food. It seems that if we go to the fruity house and her little daughter wants to eat Momo, she will be happy. This 1000 lot is not so simple.

To have thousands of hands is to save lives. For example, if a thousand people fall into the sea, you have two hands. One hand saves one, the other hand saves one, and only two people can be saved. If there are 1000 hands, if you put 1000 hands into the sea, you can lift all these 1000 drowning people. What does this 1000 hand mean? Help people! As the saying goes, "A thousand eyes can see, a thousand ears can hear, and a thousand hands can protect all sentient beings." A thousand hands can protect all beings. If you have 1000 hands, you can reach out and save them from their pain. You can't save so many people with only two hands. Therefore, avalokitesvara's thousands of hands and eyes are prepared to save people, not to steal things. Listen carefully, you didn't go there to steal apples. He said, "If I go to the apple tree, I can have a thousand hands and steal a thousand apples." Don't!

Where did this 1000 hand, 1000 eye come from? I just told you that it was born from the great compassion curse! All you have to do is recite the great compassion mantra, practice the great compassion method and practice forty-two hands. Forty secondhand is the last "thousand hands". 42 extra hands when chanting. Forty-two, ten times is 420, and one hundred times is 4200. Recite it 1000 times and you will get 42,000 hands and 42,000 eyes, depending on whether you are willing to practice!

But if you want to have thousands of eyes, you can't achieve it overnight. If you practice this method, study hard every day and practice according to the rules every day, you can achieve this incredible use. It's no use repairing today and stopping tomorrow. Just like you study and want to get a doctorate in the world, it takes 14 or 5 years from the beginning to success, let alone practice. If you don't really study hard, you won't achieve anything. It is recorded in the Sad Sutra that when Amitabha was the wheel of the holy king in the past, Guanyin Bodhisattva was the first prince of this king, named "Buyou". At that time, after Bao Tathagata was awarded to the wheel king, Bu went up to the White Buddha from the prince and said, "Dear Lord, today I tell all sentient beings with a broad voice that all my good roots belong to three virtues and three bodhis (supreme consciousness). I hope that when walking the Bodhisattva Road, if all sentient beings suffer from all kinds of distress and terror, lose their faith and strength in pursuing Buddhism, and degenerate into a dark place without light, when they are physically and mentally upset, lonely, poor and miserable, no one can ask for help and protection, have no dependence and have no house. If he can remember me and say my name, the cry for help can be heard by my ears and seen by my eyes. Like all suffering beings, if I can't save them from all kinds of pains and troubles, I won't achieve the Buddha's fruit of three virtues and three bodhis. Dear Lord, today, for all sentient beings, I should launch the most extraordinary wish. I hope that if I become the wheel holy king (Amitabha), I will practice bodhisattva in the pure land and happy world of the west, after I enter nirvana, and even when Buddhism is still alive, to benefit all sentient beings. When the Buddhism of the Infinite Life Buddha was extinguished on the first night, I immediately achieved the supreme Buddha fruit of three virtues and three bodhis on the second night and continued to transform all sentient beings. "

At that time, Bao Fo immediately wrote a note for him, which read: "When you observe and remember the people in the heavens and all sentient beings in the three evil ways, you have great compassion. In order to cut off the suffering of all sentient beings and let them live in a stable and happy place, I will name you Guanyin today. After the Buddha with infinite longevity entered nirvana, the second Ganges sand and other monks only robbed him, and his land was renamed' Everything is Treasure'.

According to the records of Guanyin Bodhisattva and Daoda Moment Bodhisattva, Sakyamuni Buddha said: "In the past, monks only robbed, which is incredible. There is a world name' Infinite Virtue gathers blessings to report the present' and the Buddha name' Golden Lion Game Tathagata'. The purity and solemnity of this Buddhist land can't be described by words and praise. Where the Buddha became a Taoist, there was a king named Wade, who was the king of a thousand worlds. At that time, King Wade, in the view of his garden and architecture, went into samadhi meditation. Around the king, there were two lotus flowers gushing out of the ground. Two boys who were born in the lotus went to the Buddhist Temple with King Wade. They met the Buddha face to face and listened to his teachings.

At that time, two boys said,' All dragon gods, listen to my lion roar. Today, before the Tathagata, we made a big wish and made bodhicitta. The stream of life and death is endless, and the unknown (unavailable) is its source. In order to free a sentient being, the Buddhas have practiced Bodhisattva for countless times. What's more, it's only a few times now, and they can completely free all beings and practice Bodhi Tao, but they are tired and annoyed. If you are greedy from today, you will cheat all the ten buddhas. If you still feel guilty, stupid, polluted, greedy and jealous, that's the same. Today, I want to tell the truth and stay away from the hypocritical heart. If we are unwilling to get rid of the Bodhi Road of all sentient beings with a selfish heart from today, it is cheating the Buddha. We don't want to feel the holy fruit, not just to save ourselves, but to escape from all beings with great compassion in the trillion-dollar robbery. Just like today's Buddhist country, it is pure, peaceful, beautiful and solemn. May my country surpass this 100 billion times when I become a Buddha. Our country has no fame, no karma, only Mahayana Bodhisattva has bodhicitta, and its number is endless. All beings are clean and have the greatest joy. They were born in the law of knowing and seeing, and they will always hold all Buddhism. If our vows are true, they should shake the world. "

When the two boys finished this eulogy, the earth shook immediately, and hundreds of music gods and various musical instruments played harmoniously and elegantly. Bright and exquisite costumes fall from the sky, dancing, and the gods in the sky scatter all kinds of beautiful fragrances in the void like rain, which generally overflows and spreads, making all beings relaxed and happy. Was there anyone else there? That's me, Sakyamuni. At that time, the two boys were Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mahasa.

These two great bodhisattvas first developed Aunt Doro's bodhicitta in the place where the Golden Lion game came from. Amitabha will go through countless times before entering nirvana. After entering nirvana, the life time of Buddhism is equal to the infinite life of Amitabha. After Amitabha entered nirvana in the world, the number of sentient beings has been the same and equal. After Amitabha entered nirvana, some sentient beings could not see the Buddha, but if there is a bodhisattva who can read Samadha, they can always see the Dharma body of Amitabha. After Amitabha showed the degree of extinction, all the treasures of Elysium, the lotus flowers of various colors in the running water bath and all the trees made of many treasures still kept playing their voices, which is no different from Amitabha's personal statement.

After the end of the Buddhist period in Elysium, at midnight that night, before the light appeared, avalokitesvara sat cross-legged under the seven treasures bodhi tree, and achieved no enlightenment. It was called' King Buddha of Puguang Gongde Mountain'. Naturally, its Buddhist kingdom is composed of seven kinds of treasures, which are arranged and combined in various ingenious ways. The solemn and wonderful sight of its land and world, even if all the buddhas and gods have experienced the disaster like the Ganges, is inexhaustible. There is no such name in its territory, and it is purely a great bodhisattva with bodhicitta, which is all over the territory. The world name of this field is "All treasures gather solemnly". With the age of his life, King Tathagata of Puguang Gongde Mountain has learned that all bodhisattvas are close to each other and support each other, even when they enter nirvana. After entering nirvana, the bodhisattva who gained great momentum still held the dharma until the dharma of the Tathagata King in Puguang Gongde Mountain was destroyed. After the extinction of Buddhism, the great trend bodhisattva was here, and his achievements were not realized. The name is: "If you come to the king, your merits will last forever". Just like Tathagata, the king of Puguang Gongde Mountain, his land and the world, infinite light, infinite longevity, the number of bodhisattvas, and even the duration of Buddhism in the world are equal. "

As recorded in the above two classics, Guanyin Bodhisattva's original intention and virtue of absorbing the pure land and solemn Buddha country are no different from Amitabha's original intention. Therefore, the purity and solemnity of the land of becoming a Buddha is so extraordinary! Others, such as 32 kinds of imitative incarnations that respond to the sufferings of all beings, 14 kinds of infinite magical powers that are fearless to all beings, and four kinds of incredible inaction, all have advantages and convenience, and they are well described, just like the classics such as Shurangama Sutra and Fire Eye Sutra, and they are not all quoted now.

The Sutra of Great Compassion also says that the Buddha is in Buduojia Mountain, the palace of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the Duobao solemn Dojo. At this time, Avalokitesvara magnified the boundless world in ten directions, indicating that she lived in the Tathagata of Qianguang King before the infinite robbery in her previous life, and suffered from learning' Great Compassion and Great Darani' (Great Compassion Mantra). She immediately surpassed the first bodhisattva to the eighth bodhisattva, and she had thousands of eyes in time. Because of this great mercy mantra, no matter where you live from generation to generation, you must always be in front of the Buddha. Therefore, Guanyin Bodhisattva vowed: "If all beings can recite the great compassion mantra, and if they can't go to the pure land of Buddha, I swear I can't achieve enlightenment."

After Avalokitesvara finished speaking, Sakyamuni Buddha said to the public: "This Avalokitesvara Buddha has already become a Buddha in the past, and it is called' Buddhism Enlightenment'. Because of his great compassion, in order to arouse the bodhicitta of all bodhisattvas, to make all sentient beings happy and to achieve the cause of all sentient beings, he is still a bodhisattva. All of you must always support Guanyin Bodhisattva, and pay attention to the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, so that you can get infinite blessings and eliminate infinite sins before you die. " According to this passage, we should know that those who respectfully support Guanyin Bodhisattva and call it Guanyin Bodhisattva's name as a way to return to Elysium, like those who have been offering sacrifices to Amitabha, can also die in the pure land. The blessings of the two are roughly the same, and the blessings and good roots are also equal. Please think it over.

Before the Tang Dynasty in China, the images of Guanyin were all male images, and the Indian Guanyin Bodhisattva was also a male image.

Buddhist classics record that Master Guanyin traveled around the Dharma world, often transforming all sentient beings with various ingenious ideas. To what extent should all beings reach, that is, thirty-two responses, and their female images may come from this. The female images of later generations may also be related to Guanyin Bodhisattva's ability to "send her son", which is the embodiment of great compassion.

During these three festivals, the temple will hold a celebration ceremony, and the general wishes are: singing "praise", chanting the name of Bodhisattva, "great compassion mantra", singing "Ode to Master Guanyin", "Guanyin Bodhisattva", chanting the name of Guanyin, making prayers and completing the three conversions. The incense party for the majority of Buddhists to celebrate Guanyin Christmas is called Guanyin Club. Putuo Mountain is the center of Guanyin Club, that is, Guanyin Dojo, so the incense will be more grand and spectacular.

Not only in monasteries, but also in the homes of many people in Xiamen, there is a statue of Guanyin, which is fragrant in the morning and evening.

Guanyin worship has a long history in Xiamen folk, which is really worth thinking about. Think about it. The reason is very complicated, but it is very important that many good men and women who don't know the origin of Guanyin worship Guanyin, which is a kind of hope and pursuit of "goodness".
