Among the five wives of the last emperor Puyi, they were graceful and beautiful. Why were they skinny before they died?

On June 23rd, 2006, with the consent of his brother Runqi, he was buried with Puyi in Hualong Royal Cemetery outside the Qing Xiling Mausoleum in Hebei Province, where Puyi was the tomb of Qing Dynasty, and posthumous title was the "Filial Empress".
