When will the couplets be posted?

Generally, it is more appropriate to paste couplets on the 29th or 30th of the twelfth lunar month.

There is no strict time limit for posting Spring Festival couplets at present. You can post it after the 23rd of the twelfth lunar month, but not later than New Year's Eve. When to post it depends on your own time and various considerations.

Couplets are divided into upper and lower couplets, and cannot be pasted wrong. Ancient couplets were written from right to left, so the first couplet was on the right side of the door. Now, because of the habit of writing from left to right, some people put the top couplet on the left side of the door. The words at the end of couplets should be vague, and there are three or four tones in modern Chinese, which gives people the impression that the words have not been written yet. The words at the end of the couplet should be flat tones, one or two sounds in modern Chinese. Flat tones give people the impression that the words have been written.
