The origin of New Year's Day can be traced back to the Xia Dynasty in China. During the Xia Dynasty in China, the "Summer Calendar" came into being, which is now the "Lunar Calendar". The first day of the first lunar month is "Year", which is called New Year's Day. Yuan, Shi, Dan and Chen. New Year is the first morning of the year.

The current "New Year's Day" refers to the first plenary session of China People's Political Consultative Conference on September 27th, 1949.
