What is full moon tea?
"Full Moon Tea" is a gift given by the woman's parents to the man's house after the couple got married for one month. Just like on the third day after marriage, two newlyweds went to the woman's house to give gifts (commonly known as "returning to the door"). When the girl gets married for almost a month, the family will send her full moon tea to show her concern for her daughter and attach importance to this marriage. Gifts are generally: old hen, boiled eggs dyed red, dried noodles, red dates (or shredded dates), cakes (or buns, cakes), brown sugar, candy, fried rice (or popcorn) and so on. Red dates, cakes, sweets, fried rice, depending on the number of households in the village where the son-in-law is located. Send full moon tea on lucky days within three to five days before the full moon. When the family goes, the woman's brother or younger brother carries the burden, and the mother takes a boy. If there are no brothers or boys at home, they can be replaced by the same clan or neighbor. The giver comes in, the father-in-law sets off firecrackers, and the daughter-in-law goes out to meet him.
