When did Guanyin Bodhisattva become a monk?

Guanyin's becoming a monk day is 19 of the ninth lunar month every year, which is the becoming a monk day of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Buddhist temples hold grand ceremonies, and karma is very unique.

At present, there is no textual research on the origin and basis of Guanyin Bodhisattva's becoming a monk. During the three Buddhist festivals of Guanyin Bodhisattva, temples all over China will hold ceremonies of different sizes. The general wishes are: singing "Zan", chanting the name of Bodhisattva, "Great Mercy Mantra", singing "Ode to Master Guanyin", "Bodhisattva Guanyin", chanting the name of Guanyin and praying for three conversions.

The incense party for the majority of Buddhists to celebrate Guanyin Christmas is called Guanyin Club. Putuo Mountain is the center of Guanyin Dojo, so it coincides with Guanyin Bodhisattva's Christmas Day, Guanyin Bodhisattva's Enlightenment Day and Guanyin Bodhisattva's becoming a monk day, which is the most solemn ceremony.
