Semi Mode workshop was founded by the late Changze Festival and is called "Legendary Art School". Graduates include Kazuo Iino, Grandfather Kim, Takayuki Simen, yohji yamamoto and others. Now most graduates are active in the front line of the industry. After that, I learned the skills of interior design and drawing by using various paragraphs alone. Before becoming an architect, I worked as an interior designer in many teahouses and cafes around Kansai.
Tadao Ando is a legend. When I was a child, my family was poor and I spent my childhood in a wooden workshop. Before becoming an architect, he used to be a truck driver and a professional boxer (score: 13 wins, 3 losses, 7 draws and 23 battles), and then he became a professional architect without formal training. Because of this, Tadao Ando is called "a Japanese genius without culture". Tadao Ando used the prize money won in boxing to travel to the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia, and also observed the unique buildings in various places. At that time, his photos were used in the works of architect Louis Kahn. Tadao Ando is the brother of twins. The younger brother of the twins is Qiao Xiong Beishan, who opened the Beishan Creative Research Institute in Tokyo, dealing with business consultants and commodity design. The youngest of the three brothers is architect Beishan Kojiro (because of his relationship with American architect Peter; Eisenmann's cooperation is famous). Original architectural works-Rose Garden (ローズガーデン, Rose Garden; Located in Morita District, Kobe City, 1977, I cooperate with Hamano Commodity Research Institute to which my brother Qiao Xiong belongs.
Tadao Ando taught himself architecture. Tadao Ando School of Architecture was founded in 1969. 1976, the yuzhi dragon house in osaka prefecture was completed. It's a two-story concrete house, and its design style has already appeared. Later, it was awarded by the Japanese Architectural Society. /kloc-participated in the design of commercial buildings in the surrounding areas of Kansai (Kitano, Kobe, Shinsaibashi, Osaka) during the 1980s, and participated in large-scale projects such as public buildings and art museum buildings after the 1990s.
Later, residential and commercial buildings built with fair-faced concrete came out one after another, which caused people's commotion and discussion, and reputation began to accumulate rapidly. From museums, entertainment facilities, religious facilities, offices, etc. The project covers a wide range, usually a large building. However, some people think that the unique charm of Ando's early small building has been lost.
1995, Tadao Ando won the Pritzker Prize, the highest honor in architecture. He donated $654.38 million to orphans after the Kobe earthquake in 1995.
