The first month of the lunar year

Tibetan calendar year: a traditional festival, the first day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar, lasts for three to five days, and is called "Luosai Festival" in Tibetan.

Praying for Blessing (calling): It is held on the third, fourth and fifteenth day of the first month to commemorate Sakyamuni, which is called "Mo Rang Qin Mao" in Tibetan.

Flower Festival: held on the 15th day of the first month every year. The gathering place of German-Tibetan dwellings in Qinghai and Gansu is called "Butter Carving Lantern Festival".

February

Magic Festival: On the seventh day of February, people dressed as demons will be driven to the other side of the Daxia River and will not be allowed to come back for seven days.

Liangbaohui: On the eighth day of February, the Buddha statue was exposed and various treasures were displayed.

"Qufu": In late February, it is also called a small prayer meeting or a small call to show the precious treasures of the Buddha statue in Tangga and the three major temples.

Visit Karin (also known as "Zanlang Sang Jie"): The first day of May to the 20th of May is said to be the arrival day of the gods of the world, and it reaches its climax on the 15th, with picnics, singing and dancing, and enjoying the natural scenery.

Fruit Festival: A traditional festival in people in Xizang that longs for a bumper harvest. It is held on auspicious days before the autumn harvest and lasts for one to three days. After the festival, the autumn harvest begins.

God's Day: held on September 22nd, people worship Buddha, do good deeds and chant Buddhist scriptures.

Fairy Festival: Tibetans call it "Bailadan Festival", which is held on 10/5, and there are many religious activities.

Lantern Festival: Tibetan called "Gedenggaqu" is held on1October 25th, the day when Zong Kaba died. In the evening, lay people and monasteries all over the country light lamps on the roofs and hold religious ceremonies in monasteries.

Exorcism Festival: called "ancient map" in Tibetan, held on February 29th in Tibetan calendar/kloc-0. On this day, temples all over the country held a grand dance of virtue, and every household cleaned up, exorcised ghosts and eliminated disasters to welcome the New Year.

In addition to the above-mentioned regular festivals, the Tibetan calendar calls the eighth, fifteenth and thirtieth days of each month "Nie Dangjie Song", and people often turn to worship Buddha.
